I think the reason why I love Mikorin the most is because while all the other characters are having nice romantic development moments, he’s just here stocking up on embarrassing anime goods and looks happier than any of the others.

Plus those key chains are like 200-300 yen each! Look at how many are in his sleeve!

The Lunchbox Fading Gigolo: AHHH!! I just drew some stufffff yaaaay. I mean, yes it's kindof sloppy but it's a good way to force myself to get some drawing done every week and also improve my workflow for this type of stuff. BUT ANYWAYSSS.... HERE IT IS!! I updated my Storenvy to include the shirts but they are still off limits since I’m still researching shirt companies to order from. (I’m also considering doing a back design but I’m weighing the pros and cons of higher production costs, just for an extra design… Prices shouldn’t fluctuate too much even with the back design though, I’ll keep looking into it!)

looks beautiful! i have problems with getting t-shirts that fit correctly, but i do just generally, 'collect' t-shirts. so i don't mind as long as the colors are on :D

Sorry I haven’t been posting a lot of art as of late since most of my stuff is going towards work, but hopefully this is a nice treat after a short hiatus. -v- 

Ah, I do have some news about the Samurai Flamenco book however: Hazel and I are pushing back production, so instead of coming out September the book will be published closer to December, in time for holidays! 

I think the extension is good since it’ll give the both of us more time to fill up the book with extra goodies (such as this sketch, as well as other illustrations :V). We want this fanbook to be the best it can be, thank you for understanding!!

about competitive swimming and haru not wanting to do it

ok, i'm getting this feeling that a lot of people think competitive swimming is just about winning the race and scoreboard and etc. (esp with haru's rant) which in a sense it is. that that's a rather shallow view of any competitive sport. a lot of us do a competitive sport because we love the sport itself.

as for why everyone's pushing haru to go pro. for haru this competitive swimming is just one way he can make a living doing what he loves (swimming/water). basically, to most other's there's a 'clear' best option that they want to encourage him to go towards. and like, who can blame them? 

this doesn't mean that haru has to go pro. in fact, the real problem is not even going pro or not. going pro just lays the future on quite thick because it's such a set path -> makes the pressure worse. i'ts really just about him not ready to decide his nextp ath in life yet and everyone else pressuringhim to decide.

on the other hand, haru has like the mental age of an elementry student and i'm not sure why no on eelse has understood this yet. he should just go to college with makoto and chill out as his stay at home husband who cooks and swims.

yeah i similarly see haru as just pushing of responsibilities and getting angry everyone that reminds him to ... they will still come. also i'm not really with the 'shut up let haru be free' thing. being free is not going to pay for housing, food, etc in the future.

so i'd like to point out in relation to the upcoming scene where rin is crying -

atm rin is somehow convinced that both sousuke and probably haru will go to pro swimming with him. but it's not looking like that's going to happen. the ground just slips under him. i mean rin also doesn't like being alone with no friends, look at what happened in austrailia. god knows at least SOMEONE has to to go pro with him. plsssss.....:'(
