My name is Samantha Manklang, I’m from the Bay Area. If you don’t know where that is, it’s basically anywhere between 30-40 mins radius of San Francisco, CA.
I’m writing this blog on running.
I’ve been running for about two years now. most of my training comes from Nike Run Club (NRC) San Francisco three times a week, varying from speed workouts, 3-5 mile home runs, and 8-13 mile long runs.
I’m apart of two local running crews, Concrete Runners, and MIP Worldwide (SF Chapter).
I used to train everyday last year when I had trained for my first half marathon, the Nike Half Marathon, but I haven’t signed up for any distance runs since. I’ve come a long way since I’ve started running, but I think i’ve plateaued since I haven’t signed up for anything. I don’t have any goals to make me run faster.
Until recently, I’ll been wrapping my head around running the 2nd half of the SF Marathon towards the end of July. So here I am, starting this blog as I prep for the second half of 2016 getting setting myself up for a PR on my second half! I’ve also got the Kauai Half marathon on my calendar, but I don’t think i’m planning to PR that one due to heat and humidity. We’ll see where my fitness level is by that Runcation.
