YOU DESERVE EACH OTHER!!! Do you think ?? Well,I think Elphaba deserves to be with the person who saw her as beautiful( keeping in mind she was ostracized for her appearance her whole life) and cared enough to tell her ,while she was at her lowest, surrounded by propoganda posters, hiding away in a safe space she was forced to build while a literal witch hunt was brewing against her , for years. She deserves to be with someone who would go with her without expecting to be called , whether it's to save a lion cub or fight the good fight against the fascists. She deserves someone who would throw away all their titles and privilege ,in order to be with her . She deserves someone who would show up for her , would choose her every single time, no matter the cost.She deserves someone who would believe in her cause enough to jump right in with her , uncaring about consequences and social standings and when inevitably caught, think about her safety first even at the cost of great personal damage .She deserves someone who would come back from literal death to keep their promises , hold her hand so she doesn't feel alone and walk away into the sunset together. Someone who would make her feel wicked.
As for Fiyero, he deserves to be with someone who sees the person hidden underneath the armor of charming smiles ,someone who would strip him bare of the shadows he puts up with his charisma and reveal the hidden layers , someone who doesn't care one bit for his performative streak or charm , but rather won over by the person beneath, who doesn't care one bit about his titles or privilege but rather sees him and loves him the most when he's in fact devoid of them. Someone who would invoke a deep sense of morality and justice in him, who would inspire him not just by their beauty but by their brilliant mind and strong conviction to their cause. Someone who would go to the greatest lengths trying to save his life. He deserves someone who would show him that he's worth everything, when he's at his lowest, and show him that dust isn't infact what it all comes to, that he doesn't have to dance through life mindlessly ,show him he can fall in love and have his happy ending, who doesn't care one bit if he's a handsome Winkie Prince or a freshly minted scarecrow.
So yeah , I do think Glinda was right and they deserve each other.
