This is my most recent visual journal entry and it is more relevant now than ever. My anxiety has become much more prominent with the stress of senior year and I often find it hard to fall asleep because my brain feels hot, as if it were on fire.

Inspired by brookemturner's Throwback Thursday showing her first art journal, here are photos of some of my first pages (from around 2008 and 2009).  I didn't finish the journal… I think I got upset that paint leaked through the pages and made the book fall apart haha.  Doubling up pages and the wonders of gesso occurred to me at a later date ;)

Because I got so much great feedback from my last prompts list, I’ve decided to post another. For me, one word prompts are a bit more challenging, because my brain goes in so many different directions. Example; “Blue”  I can paint, draw, sketch, whatever, using only the color blue. I can make the focal point of the page blue. I can make the page about sadness… The options are seemingly endless. 

As with the last list, you can pick and choose when you’re in need of some inspiration, or you can turn the list into a 25 day challenge. It’s up to you!
