You shouldn't pull out a baby tooth with floss

Everyone's heard of the trick to take out a baby tooth by tying some floss to it and yanking it out. I don't recommend you do this. If it is that difficult to remove, it is not ready yet.

I really like this photo. I didn’t take it of course. But it looks really yummy! Only now, have I noticed the symmetry of the photo. I think it may be improved if the chocolate wasn’t melting. Everything else is solid.

Defence section in the australian newspaper

So I just bought the weekend Australian newpaper today because my wife said we need more newspapers to line the guinea pig home. She didn’t want a chinese newspaper cos the ink is really bad and makes your fingers black. I would need this laundry detergent to clean my fingers! (I’m sure water actually does the trick)

I have been told to use newspaper to clean glass. This doesn’t make sense but seemed to work. It feels pretty stupid to me but it was explained to me that the oils in the ink help dissolve dirt. Just use some cleaning solution! That will dissolve dirt even better!

Anyway, I’m going to stop here. I started this a couple of days ago and went home. Now I’m back to finish and I can’t be bothered finishing.

I love croissants! I actually really hate having fruit in the morning. It is so sour! Jam is nice but I don’t think it goes well with croissants. I just like plain croissants. The butteryness is nice.

So this is a black and white image! Or is it greyscale? I don’t really know the difference. I am not a graphic designer so I don’t know! Nor do I care. Someone taught me how to use snipping tool and it is so good. That’s how I got this image.

Brushing your children’s teeth is pretty hard! Just like toilet training, it takes time and patience. There is much more to life than just teeth, even for a dentist like me! So don’t sweat it too much if your child is not brushing as well as they should be. Be supportive and encourage them to keep improving!

Getting our young children to brush their teeth is quite difficult! It will take years to get them to brush independently so don't give up so easily...

Baby teeth naturally fall out when the permanent tooth is about to come out. In most cases, it is perfectly fine to let nature take its course and have the child remove it themselves...

When you have a tooth infection, often times, the two treatment options are to have a root canal therapy or tooth extraction (removed). It can be a difficult decision to make, because you would like to keep your tooth but the cost of a root canal therapy and crown may be holding you back. How do you decide?!

Many females dentist like tooth extraction for some odd reason. You would have though it is a male thing to like surgery. I don’t especially enjoy extraction and I actually like root canal more. Maybe because it is a constructive activity, tinstead of a destructive.

Ideally, fillings would last forever! That of course is the ultimate aim, but realistically, the vast majority cannot last more than 20 years, without needing replacement...

I looked at the black mouldy bottom of the electric toothbrush and decided it was time to chuck that thing in the trash. After having it for 4 years, it was time to let it go. It made a satisfying thunk as it hit the bottom of the trashcan.

This drawying is based on my own bathroom actually. I have never taken a bathroom selfie though.

I was inspired by the opinion posts in the NY times to do this post. I don’t really have time nowadays to make such deep and meaningful posts. I just try to get inspiration from what I have come across in the past week.

How to save money! Woo!

Totally no one care about this post. It was too lame I think. Too cheesy. Cheese is good for your teeth by the way.

Everyone knows soft drinks and sweets are bad for your teeth. Did you also know there are a lot of other foods and drinks that are bad for your teeth?

There’s a restaurant called ocrab, near qc dental. I follow them on instagram and their food looks pretty nice. I haven’t been yet but I would like to go sometime.

Photography and dentistry are two words that have not been associated together until the recent decade. It has only recently taken off due to the technological advances of digital photography and everyone being a "photographer". Taking photos in the dental setting has multiple purposes.

I’ve also got an intraoral camera for quick snaps of much lower quality than what this big camera can take. The intraoral cmaera was so much more expensive than this set up and delivers crappier results. What a waste of money.
