I use queer as a reclaimed term and do not tag it as q slur. If you need something tagged, dm me politely.
INTERESTS: gothic literature, popular culture and horror, yuri, cyborg theory, post humanist sci-fi, butch-femme history, neo-noir/pulp, late 90s-early 00s anime. and I like plushies.
DNI: bigotry of any kind is not allowed on this blog. racism, hate speech against trans or queer people, ableism and other discrimination will get you blocked. zionists and transphobes should drop dead. I do not believe in transandrophobia. speaking about transmisogyny is not "community-infighting".

Always open to recs. Transfem butches are loved and appreciated, and I don't tolerate invisibilization of transfeminine people when speaking of butchness and lesbian masculinity.
Imagine being a lesbian and accidentally reading any of these books only to find out on page 223 that the 'cute lesbian' character you're supposed to be pining over is canonically male I would throw the book out the window
'Transfem butch' moids will never have a clue what being a butch lesbian means 🤣 but I find it very funny and flattering when straight people want to be us so bad
I am so excited to see how Ellis and Santos get along in the day shift together in season 3😛😛😛 and just excited in general to see more of Ellis.
The Pitt has so much yuri potential it's crazy, off the top of my head I can't think of a single Santos ship I dislike. She goes well with every woman in the show lol. I love Mel x Santos as well😊 will defo be drawing that in the future

toss a coin to a silly butch 🍓🐻
*French Pressed Love has a ton of mixed reviews regarding the lesbian representation and overall handling of the storyline; I'll urge you to research and make your own judgements. Also note that while it's not marketed as a dark romance, it has frequently been compared to works in that genre like Tryst Six Venom.
**She Who Became the Sun is grimdark fantasy and its sequel He Who Drowned the World has some particularly harrowing depictions of sexual and gendered violence against several characters, including the lesbian pair. Don't go in expecting sweet sapphic fantasy. I was personally not a huge fan of book 2, as it felt far more focused on the male characters and had some unaddressed misogynistic/gender essentialist undertones.
***Rink Rash starts out as a bully romance, but that plotline is resolved soon. While it is incredibly written, and one of my favorite lesbian romances, it primarily deals with addiction, and self-destructive patterns as a means of coping with grief and mental illness. As such, even if they are dealt with a lot of nuance and care, there are some pretty harrowing scenes. If you find such content triggering, please take care of yourself and skip this book.
It's come to my attention that MC Hutson has recently made transphobic comments. Here are three replacement books featuring stone tops–
Brewing Up Bedlam by Heather Nix [paranormal romance]: A funny and sweet monster romance about a lesbian who teams up with her business' neighbor to fight back against a greedy property developer. Butch4femme, stone top masc lesbian love interest (literal stone. she is a gargoyle. do u get it.). Lesbian author.
Metal from Heaven by August Clarke [fantasy]: A bloody lesbian revenge tale and political fantasy set in a world transformed by industrial change and simmering class warfare. Has distinct lesbian–particularly butch/femme–subcultural themes embedded within worldbuilding. Stone top butch lesbian lead, butch author. Side note: I found this amazing interview of the author by fellow butch fantasy author C. L. Clark where the duo speak on sexual roles, embodied masculinity, butchness and top/bottom dynamics in queer and trans fantasy.
Butterflies by Frances M. Thompson [contemporary romance, erotica]: A steamy sapphic coffeeshop romance novella about a woman recuperating from a bad situationship, who catches the eye of one of her regular customers. Butch4femme interracial romance (both poc), hijabi stone top lesbian lead, queer author.
