Man in the ER hall behind me : “Nurse! Nurse!! Nurse!!!”
*grabs my arm* “Nurse, it’s rude not to answer someone!!”
Me : “I didn’t know you were screaming at me. Because I’m a doctor, not a nurse. So you can stop being rude by screaming and assuming.”
Nothing irritates me more than men assuming I’m a nurse because I’m a women. Can we please stop all of these damn sexist stereotypes?
PLUS. No one should ever scream like that at a nurse. Or anyone to that matter. Show some respect.
