Samcheongdong II.

We stopped by a really pretty cafe called Secret Garden so we could chill after hours of walking. There were models taking pictures outside the cafe while we were there and it was so interesting watching them. Samcheongdong is absolutely breathtaking. I feel like artists would get so much inspiration just by walking in the streets. 

P.S. I’m cramming all my Korea related posts before the year ends and there’s still so much that I really want to show you guys huhu

Samcheongdong I.

Prior to my arrival in Seoul, Samcheongdong was the place that I was most excited to go to. It’s one of the less touristy neighborhoods but definitely one of the most unique ones. Samcheongdong is known for it’s cafés and vintage shops. The atmosphere of this area was intensely serene and calming. The weather that day was also very nice so I was able to take my time just strolling around and enjoying the area. Everything was so aesthetically pleasing! Samcheongdong is also home to the famous Bukchon Hanok Village.

Colonial, Tagaytay

Home of the famous Sili Ice Cream! Colonial also serves a whole bunch of unique ice cream flavors. We ordered Sili, Tinutong na Bigas, and Cocoa ice cream. The three of them were AMAZING but I loved the Tinutong na Bigas the most! I would go back just for that ice cream. We also ordered other dishes but the Bahay Kubo salad was a notable one. The concept of the salad was really cute to me!

Bukchon Hanok Village

It was so crowded and hot when during the time that we went here that I got too lazy to take picture. Nonetheless, the village  was stunning!  I thought that I should just enjoy the place with my own eyes. The cool thing about Hanok Village is even though it’s a tourist spot, there are actually families living in the Hanoks (traditional houses). They also rent out some of the Hanoks! There were a lot of vintage shops and traditional cafes by the end of the village. You could also check out the ice cream shop. They have interesting flavors. This is one of the places that I wished I could have spent more time in.

Green Pastures 

We went to Green Pastures a week or two ago to try their salads and wow they did not disappoint. The Farmhouse salad was so fresh! It was so good that we replicated the recipe and have been eating it everyday this week. We also tried their Fritto Misto and Crab Meat & Sea Urchin Pasta. Both were just okay for me, my parents kept on raving about them though. Their drinks were perfect for the food, everything was so refreshing! What I love about Green Pastures is that they only serve organic food. Next time, I’ll try their famous Cheese Platter!  

I wanted to wait until everything was served so I could take better pictures but the dishes were served one by one and I couldn't wait!!

Myeongdong, Korea II.

My friend and I ate at the famous Myeongdong Kyoja which only serves two items in their menu, Kalguksu (which has two variants) and Mandu! Myeongdong is one of the top places I’d recommend to those that want to visit Korea just cause it’s such a fun and contained shopping place. I heard that the place is even better at night, as the streets become filled with food carts. Too bad we only stayed there until the afternoon.

Myeongdong, Korea I.

Myeongdong is first shopping district we went to in Korea! It really is a shopping haven, mostly for fashion and make up/skin care products (which the country is both famous for). The clothes were all so cute and pretty and relatively inexpensive too huhu I wanted to buy everything but I knew that we’d be going to more shopping districts so I had to hold back. I feel like out of all the shopping places that we’ve been, Myeongdong was the most organized and tourist friendly. There were also a lot of tourist guides that can speak different languages roaming around which made it more comfortable for me, even if I was with my Korean friend. I also had my photo taken at the famous Line Cafe, as seen on the photo above! So cute!!

Oh and by the way, if you’re planning to buy character socks, buy them here. I noticed that among all the shopping centers I’ve been, Myeongdong had the most varied choices and at a really cheap price too.

Sangdong Lake Park, Korea

While I was searching on the internet for places to go to in Korea, I looked for the flowers that are gonna be in season while we were there. I found out that Poppies are in season from the end of May until early June so I looked for the best places that I could see them. 

Sangdong Lake Park is so chill and perfect for picnics! There wasn’t a lot of people because it’s not really a tourist place and most of the people that were there were just from the neighborhood. I was so excited because it was my first time to Poppies!! I really adore flowers and just looking around the park made me so happy.

N Seoul Tower

I went to Korea with my friend for 9 days so I’ll be sharing the places we’ve been to. Korea was the country I’ve been longing to visit since I was in grade school. I’m just so happy that my dreams of coming to Korea came true. :)

Namsan Tower is one of the major tourist spots in Korea. It has the highest point in Seoul so you could overlook the whole city at its top. It’s also famous for the love locks surrounding its tower fence. I was taking pictures of everything because it was so cute! It was just a happy place. Definitely one of my favorite places in Seoul!
