Honestly, I really wish I could thank Michael.

For being willing to talk about the racism in the U.S. For being willing to tell a guy off for making a rape joke. For being willing to tweet about Women’s Day. For being willing to acknowledge and move on from his problematic past. For being willing to talk about gay marriage. For being willing to let fans, and everyone else, assume he is bisexual. For being willing to get back onstage after nearly losing his eyesight from a pyrotechnic accident. For being willing to perform with a sickness because, well, it didn’t stop Frank Iero either, did it? For being willing to stand up on a stage in front of thousands, knowing they are filming, and admitting he is having difficulties with mental health. Not necessarily a mental illness, just some problems.

I could say I’m a Michael girl because he’s adorable, because I like guitarists, because of his hair, his voice, etc. 

But this is why a lot of us are Michael girls. 

We love you Michael, and thank you for being so brave.

I am sure the biggest reason why 5sos are always so annoyed by fans lately is that they want to hear “ dude your new single is amazing” not “ gosh boys you are so hot” they want to hear “ you are talented musicans” not “you could be topmodels look how good you look”. Tell them “ your guitar/drum/ bass solo in (put a song title in) was wicked” and not “ damn your hair is so on point” ask them about their new album not about private stuff.

Start to see them as the musicans they are not as the good looking boys they are. They are a band who are here for the music not for their looks.

the fact that michael opened up about his mental health and told us that he is seeing a therapist makes me proud of him because he trusts us and he wants us to know that everything’s okay and it’s okay to seek help from others and damn i love that boy so much and i just really want to hug him and tell him that the fam is here for him and he is not alone but the fact that i can’t do that because i live in another country sucks because i really want to show him that i care and just hug him ugh i feel so useless right now but i hope that he can feel my support and hugs in spirit oh michael i hope you feel better i just want the best for you God bless
