"yes? do you know other solos or something?" it wasn't a common last name, at least not that she was aware of. so the fact someone flagged her down by her last name was enough to raise some red flags in her mind. "i'm sorry---i'm just really confused is all," she admitted somewhat bluntly.
Mara gives a nod of confirmation. "I do. My name is Mara Jade. Does that sound familiar to you?" She asks as she looks at the other with confusion and curiosity.
"oh. it's you." a shrug rolled off of jabba's shoulders. it wasn't like the words had bothered him, after all he had heard much worse. nor was she someone he lost sleep thinking over. "is that you all want to tell me or do you have anything else you need to get off your chest?"
Mara stares at Jabba with a cold and icy glare. The only reason she hadn't gone for his throat from the start was because, as far as she knew, he hadn't treated her son poorly. "Have you had contact with my son since he regained his memories?"
"This planet?" she whispered to herself before looking at the other and leaning over to see what she was reading. "Oh, the cronut? Yeah, not my cup of tea but I hear a lot of people like them"
Mara looks at it with a judging expression. "I suppose it isn't as odd as some other foods I've seen across my galaxy." That wasn't exactly a statement of endorsement but she had probably eaten worse in her time. "What do you suggest?"
"There are some things about this planet, that I will never understand." She says before scrunching her nose in disgust at the menu before her. "Creativity is all fine and well but where do they come up with some of these combinations and think it'll be editable?" @rxgclity
"not even from this galaxy? wow!" nora's eyes widen. "you have flying vehicles. tell me more about the technology? wow, this is so cool! i'm sorry if i'm asking too many questions. i've never met someone from a different galaxy!"
Mara nods in confirmation as the other speaks, it was a bit strange that the world she grew up in was so fascinating to the other, but it made sense. "We have hologram communicators, travel between planets, some planets are more developed than others and well, there is a lot to name compared to here." She says before shaking her head. "No, its good to be inquisitive, I encourage it. We also have droids. Most are pretty helpful but some are very annoying."
"You look like Solo, am I right?" She knew as long as she had been here, she should be familiar with all of the Skywalker family; but she admittedly was still trying to figure out how this whole family thing worked. "Its funny, how years ago I would have said that like an insult and now, I wouldn't let anyone say that about you." @vcndetta
"How is my favorite person doing?" Mara says with a smile as she approaches her son. She needed to see him sooner than the amount of time between the last two visits. @mischiefxmuses
Mara had avoided going near Jabba since her son became free of him. Though fate had decided they should finally come face to face. Mara's nose crinkles quickly out of spite and disgust. "Jabba. You're just as repulsive here as you were back home." Mara wasn't talking about his looks, but rather what she had heard of his deeds done here in DC. @vcndetta

It felt like he was missing something that he was supposed to know . That something had been taken from his head . “ But I could ask around ? “
"Good luck making it in this city. I hope you're good at hiding if you aren't good at fighting." Mara says casually while still having a sense of gravity to her words. Sure nothing too chaotic has happened lately, but it was only a matter of time. It was quiet, too quiet. "Here is my card. It is always good for anyone to have some defense ready. Does not mean you have to use it for every little argument."
"Do you know anyone who needs or just would like to take some self-defense or dance classes?" Mara asked plainly and directly. She wasn't one to flit around the point. The woman knew how she came off but never minded it. @playernctpuck
Mara slips her hand into her pocket to feel for her saber as her eyes catch sight of Anakin. He looked different but she could still feel it was who she knew as Vader. She wasn't counting on being uncivil but she was prepared incase he chose to be. "Vader." She says in a simple yet cold greeting. @wvsteria
"wait. you're not from this planet? okay that is so cool. i know i'm getting off track, but please tell me more?"
"I am not even from this galaxy actually." Mara responds with a light nod. "It is a very different life here. In some ways, it is far less advanced in technology and in other ways, life here is much more advanced. The vehicles stay on the ground here which is rather annoying."
"No matter how long I am here, there are just some things about this planet I will never understand." It wasn't for a lack of intelligence or ability to learn, but more a pure defiance. @scndmeundcr
padme's brow furrowed slightly at the others words. "family?" she asked. "sorry, this is all new to me, I haven't fully caught up," it had only been a few weeks and she'd already gotten so much information already. "I'm sorry you had to live like that," padme nodded. "I knew obi wan survived, he was with me for a time," before she'd died. "this is a lot of information to take in,"
Mara gives a silent nod at first, waiting until Padme was finished speaking. "Fair enough. I am still getting used to being in a family, let alone getting used to being a mother myself. What do you want to know?" The red haired woman offers, figuring it was better to let Padme set the pace of information. She then shrugs off the next topic as she responds. "It is fine, I didn't know anything else so there was nothing to miss." Mara nods in understanding. "We can do something else if it is all too much. I'll let you set the pace with what I tell you. I might not have all the answers, but I do have quite a bit of useful information for you."
"you know them?" it was interesting to see who knew luke and leia and what they had to say about them. padme's brow furrowed at the others words. "I'm sure that would have been interesting," that was a nice way of putting it. "I wasn't aware that the jedi survived everything,"
"Yes, I know them. Had a ... rough start, but now... we're, well, family." Mara says bluntly yet with hesitation as the notion of family was still a new one for her. "It might have been. If I had known any other life before that." The redhead nods. "Some. Kenobi and Yoda survived and trained Luke who then began to train others."
jacen's expression turned confused, eyebrows furrowing at the other woman. surely this was his aunt, he could sense her through the force. did she really not recognize him? "it's me, jacen... do you not remember?"
Mara approaches closer as she doesn't sense any danger from the other. "I don't think we've met before. At least not here or in my time... I am from before I was... married. Jacen is certainly a name someone would have had from back home, so I believe you know me."

"Been a while since you came to check up on me." Ben chuckled as he wiped the grease from his hands. "I promise I am eating three meals a day, staying hydrated and training daily." He grinned. He loved his mother dearly but would always take the opportunity to make her life a little harder.
Mara smirks and shakes her head. "Well you're grown, I have to give you personal space at some point. Though its good to know you're taking care of yourself, you better be. You may be grown and I may be from a time before your birth but I can still find a way to ground you." She warns playfully, though, if she had to, she'd find a way to do just that.
