Studio In Shambles
The studio here at eAudio is still in shambles, so I have set up a temporary base of operations in.. My Bedroom! Work on both Smuggler's Moon and The Paper Horse can once again resume.
Live studio footage: I give you Lenski Llorens of The Paper Horse, everybody!
New and improved and with Lenski on bass
For the longest time I could not think of a title for this track. Then, I had to leave Italy, on an airplane... it was raining...

One of the more interesting tracks off the up coming album. It was going to be a single...

Roma
i am in Roma. The two things I wish I brought? Smuggler's Moon albums to leave laying about, and my guitar for the pope to bless.

More Tricks of the Formally Uneducated.
For any of you out there who are beginner audio engineers, you may find this one thing always destroying your takes: a person who cannot play to a click. Maybe a performer, client, "session" guitarist, or maybe it's you. I've had this problem with everyone at some point, myself included. Here is the solution: give them a basic drum loop to play to. Chances are, they are well rehearsed, just used to hearing something different. They will naturally lock in with the drum loop, and make your life as an audio engineer much easier. You will also get a better overall performance out of them since they will no longer be focusing all their attention on the click and getting frustrated that they cannot keep time.
Getting back to my roots. Jimmy Eat World. One of the bands that defined my high school cd binder. Remember those?
