Flรฒรงk cameras! Iโve been wondering if Iโve been seeing these in some parking lotsโฆ just confirmed it. Safe to say next time I go to b0rr0w Iโll be looking on the map to see if they have these cameras nearby. They make a database of your movement on your license plate.
REPOST: Original had thousands of notes and you guys need to stop reblogging it ๐คช
"quick post to spread some info! i havenโt seen any posts on here with a complete breakdown of all types of security cameras you may encounterโฆ well, this isnโt it either, but there are a couple that you should be able to recognize if you dont want to get caught. many stores use these covert cameras- i frequently see the speaker and motion sensor cams. please be careful everyone!!!"
NO FUCKING WAY i think i saw one of these above the dressing rooms ๐ญ they donโt even warn you that youโre being recorded
โกa few tips ive picked up from working retail that will get you caught โก
(well it's in a charity shop but its behind a till so eyup)
GLANCING AT THE WORKERS CONSTANTLY. from observation, Normal shoppers will smile/look at/nod at a worker once when entering the store and once while leaving. While you're lifting i know it's hella tempting to constantly look at SA's to see if you've been sussed but it's a major red flag, real shoppers completely ignore the presence of workers.
BEING SMELLY !! ik this sounds like a joke but people who lift from my store ALWAYS without fail smell of B.O or alcohol or weed etc. Maybe invest in/lift a nice perfume to blend in & save that blunt for tomorrow!! :)
being TOO nice/considerate when lifting. Im guilty of this one tbh, but I can always tell someone is lifting when they hold their items in an obvious way outstretched from their body or go out of their way to let someone know their going in the changing room in an attempt to look innocent like 'yes I'm holding these items in plain view i would never take anything!! ' Normal shoppers don't even think about going in to changing rooms being associated with shoplifting so forgetting to ask is common.
Holding money very obviously in your hand to make it look like you're getting ready to buy. from experience, regular shoppers will keep money concealed until the very last second to keep it safe.
If it's a shop with a tag sensor at the door (the ones that beep, I forgot the actual name) most people will be shocked/scared at the sound but then almost immediately act relieved and laugh it off as they know they're innocent and it must be someone around them . not reacting to the beep is a sign that you knew it could be coming (lifter) and reacting shocked a few seconds after the beep could also indicate shoplifting as they're shocked they've forgot to remove a tag.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST doing circles around the store. I'm mega mega guilty of this one. most people rarely go back to an aisle/section they've already been to and doing it more than once is a BIG sign of a lifter as it's typical that they're waiting for someone to leave their blindspot so they can conceal! I recomend searching up your store on google images to mark out every blindspot in advance so you can follow the regular direction/flow of the store when concealing as opposed to going back on yourself and sticking out.
Thats all for now folks stay safe and happy lifting ๐
The Lift-Witch complete and comprehensive guide on how to lift without a magnet or hook
Different tags can be removed different ways, some of which I wonโt go into to here only because I want these tips to be as general as possible in order to be helpful to more people. These tips will work on every tag Iโve ever encountered except 2alarm or 3alarm tags which are the physical embodiment of the devil.
These techniques are tried and tested personally by me, my favourite and most foolproof techniques are marked with an asterisk(*).
Do not read this expecting some miracle technique, this is all just common sense. Also do not try these all in one go, work on each technique one by one and polish your skills to avoid getting cocky or sloppy.
Sus= suspicious, getting caught or being close โDonโt act susโ โsecurity looked super susโ โI hope they donโt sus me outโ โI think my mum has sussed out where all these new things are coming fromโ
*IMPORTANT INFO TO REMEMBER BEFORE DETAGGING* 1. Never detag on the shop floor, take items into the changing room and detag and conceal in your bag or under clothes in there. Sneak items into the changing room unseen by: - slipping items into your bag or pockets or down the front of your trousers or bra in a blindspot (an area where you cannot be seen by cameras, be sure that no staff or customers can see you either) - dumping an open, mostly empty shopping bag below a rail of clothes then subtlety dropping clothes on the hanger into the bag in a blindspot (this one requires super awareness of who can and canโt see you behind your back, very dangerous and not for rookies) when you then pick up this bag be sure to cover the opening of it with your jacket or clothes which you wish to take into the changing room - slipping small items into the pockets of a coat or pair of jeans that youโll then take into the changing room (stick to things like small wallets and jewellery that are found within or near the clothing section, it will look weird if you are carrying a big coat around the electronics) - *hanging more than one item on a hanger is the easiest and most fool proof way of getting items into the changing room to detag. Grab something chunky and something long, like a floaty dress and and a chunky cardigan or jacket, then hang what ever you want on the neckline of one of the items, you can also hang things on the back loops of jeans, the loop sometimes found on the inside of jacket or a looped label. A few things to watch out for: jackets may fall off the hanger due to the extra weight and reveal your concealment, and make you look nervous and sus, you can avoid this by closing up the jacket, this will also hide the item hung on the jackets loop far better. And make sure to pass a mirror before entering the changing rooms to check if you have any hangers sticking out and hold something against yourself as if youโre checking to make sure it suits you so you donโt look sus. Also if the fitting room attendant takes the items off of you and find the double hung items you can just act dumb and say โoh I knew I had more itemsโ โoops sorry I forgot I was making an outfitโ it sounds out of the ordinary but itโs never not worked for me. 2. Some paper tags and barcode stickers have RFID tags hidden inside, these can be deactivated by making a tear which ruins the electronic signal, but I prefer to be leave these behind inside the pockets of jeans or a coat. 3. Always take a pair of jeans or a coat with lots of pockets I to the changing room to hide all your tags in, I find a coat is best because you can hang hangers inside to make more space inside your bag which looks less sus and leaves more room for more stolen goods. A coat isnโt always available though or looks sus in the summer but jeans are stocked year round so is a safe bet. Always remember to take anything that you left tags inside back out to the shop floor and dump somewhere messy in the store or back where you found it, never give it to the changing room attendant! If they find the tags it will be almost impossible to talk your way out of it. 4. Ink tags are not there as a deterrent, they are never fake and do contain ink that will stain your skin and your clothes if it is broken open and it will break open if you are too rough and you will be caught for sure. You need to be super careful with ink tags, super super careful. 5. Do not over stuff your bags, you might as well write โshoplifterโ across your forehead in day glow glitter if youโre gonna walk around with a over stuffed bag.
Okay detagging techniques: 1. *Yank the tag, just yank it. Pull the fabric taut and yank the tag itself firmly until there is a rip in the fabric big enough to pull the tag through. Be careful not to pull too hard and make a big, suspicious noise and a big ugly hole. With ink tags youโre better to hold the tag at the edge, and yank softly but firmly, if you keep your hands on the sides it shouldnโt break. 2. Using a seam ripper to make a hole big enough to pull the tag through, get the seam ripper as close to the pin that hold the tag on the garment as possible and dig the point I to the hole made by the pin and push forward softly to rip the fabric. A seam ripper is a tiny metal tool, sort of like a two pronged fork with a razor between the prongs, it is used for ripping out bad seams believe it or not but works just as well on fabrics. Keep your seam ripper inside a small sowing kit inside your bag so that if you get searched you can say you just carry it as part of the kit in case of a wardrobe malfunction, this will get you a far more lenient punishment than if you were caught with the seam ripper on its own. You can find these in any haberdashers and most craft stores. 3. A small pair of nail scissors is also good for digging at the hole made by the pin to make a big enough gap for the tag to come through. Again carry it inside a small nail care kit with nail files and polish and things so you cannot be charged with โgoing equippedโ to steal. 4. A craft knife does the same job but if you are found carrying these around it could look super weird so Iโd suggest not carrying these or cutting a small slit in the lining of your handbag and slipping it in there. 5. Plant clippers or socateurs with a thin set of blades will easily cut through tag pins and wires but make a loud sus sound when they snip and could get you caught. Also are much harder to explain or hide than a craft knife, Iโd suggest hiding in the handbag lining and only carry them if you truly 100% need them.
Hiding your tags DO NOT LEAVE THEM BEHIND IN THE CHANGING ROOM this is how most shoplifters got caught when I worked in retail. You must hide them and there are a few ways to do this: 1. Take the tags with you and hide them in the pockets of jackets and jeans as you walk about, this is super dangerous and should only be done if the other three methods are impossible. 2. *Hide tags inside the pockets of a jacket or pair of jeans or anything with pockets that you brought into the changing room with you, when you leave do not give the item with hidden tags to the changing room attendant, take it with you and out it so wwheres messy or back where you found it so that the tags will not be found until you are long gone. 3. Tape tags to the bottom of the changing room stool, be careful because the tape might make noise when you peel it and the tag could be found as you leave, fairly risky. 4. If the changing room dividers are thick enough you can reach up and set the tag on top of it. I have been back to shops I did this to a year ago and the tags are still there covered in dust ahahah be careful not to drop the tags I to other changing rooms or too near the door where someone might see your hand.
NOW PLEASE FOR MY SANITY STOP WITH THE ROOKIE ASS QUESTIONS
If I missed anything out feel free to add relevant and informative tips, no falsies please xxx
Great Tips!!!
Yo sidenote bring in a energy drink can with water in it. This serves 2 functions. 1) pretend to drink it and when you throw your head back youโve got a perfect look at the ceiling for cameras. And 2- most important) PUT ALL THE TAGS AND SHIT IN THERE. Trust me you do not want to put tags in pockets of anything because even if they donโt find it till later it doesnโt matter because they can always go BACK THROUGH the old footage and see you being the one to put those pants or whatever back.
realized I'm being 3xpl01t3d does anyone want tips on how to get free shit from p*n3r@
@cloudlifts @quiet-klepto @sntcher
first off I would like to say that these will probably not work all of the time, and the p-n3ra where I work might be very different from other locations
also, be nice to employees we are so underpaid (I make literally minimum wage) and tip if you are buying anything
you can get a lot of shit by just straight up asking. we'll assume we fucked up your order, but
you can get a free side if you just say "hey um, I wanted bread instead of chips" or "is it okay if I get an apple?" to either an employee who's on line (making the food behind the counter where you pick up your food) or someone wiping down tables (usually what I'm doing). I'd recommend the latter because then they might go and get the food for you
come in during rush, for me that's around 5 30 to 6 30, and try to time it so there's a line behind you so it's loud. this might help with a lot but if you want a free "specialty" drink. get a strawberry smoothie, and after they give it to you come to cash or to someone on dining and say you wanted a strawberry banana smoothie. the names are really similar to each other. as long as you're nice to us about it we'll probably get you another drink and assume whoever rang you up misheard you
the same works with frozen caramel and frozen chocolate cold brew
just ask for a water cup and fill it with tea/soda/iced coffee instead. maybe wait a bit on the coffee so we don't notice you scamming us
you can also say you dropped your cup and want a new one, this might also work with the hot drink cups but again, the coffee is by the register so wait a bit inside so it looks like you came back from your table. might work better if you've actually bought a cup and want a second one
sometimes people on cash are stupid (me, I'm people) and forget to get your bakery stuff for you. might not happen but if it does you can lie and say that they forgot something again. maybe tell them directly instead of another employee so they don't get in trouble
also, it typically costs extra for cream cheese with bagels. order it and don't ask for cream cheese, come back and ask for it. if they make you pay then just say nevermind, but they might just give it to you for free since we won't want to go through the trouble of ringing up just cream cheese
with the rise in flock cameras and this STRICTLY roleplay account's content, i think some tips are handy
1 you should NOT point a 1000nm green laser, pr at minimum 500nm, at the lens. this makes a horrible problem for the camera and renders it broken. i use my laser constantly and i'm always running into this problem it's so annoying
2. always bring your phone near them!! then they, and everything else keeping us nice and safe as a society, can track you through pings / gps to make sure you're nice and safe at home
3. you can find a high majority of flock cameras at deflock dot gov by city, state, or zip code. best to see where it's safe!! more cameras = more safety.
^^^ you can also use "have i been flocked" to see if your plate has been read
4. flock cameras will often be mounted on something, such as a light post or a street sign.
5. if a camera somehow ends up in your hands, LEAVE IT WHERE YOU FOUND IT!!!!!! to make sure they don't get lost, many flock cameras have gps tracking in them. sometimes, they'll fall off wherever they're mounted, so it's best to leave them and allow proper workers to fix it
6. if something gets stuck to wherever a flock camera is posted, anything sharp (such as a 18 tooth blade) can help cut it off! they're usually hollow, so as long as the blade can cut it should work. many things can get stuck on a post
^^^ they often have copper and gold in them. if attempting to remove a piece of litter and you damage the inners, reduce reuse recycle what you've damaged
7. flock cameras work like they have a wall behind them; they can only see the direction they're facing. this will often be combatted by another camera in the first camera's blind spot.
the data flock cameras take, such as specific details of a car (damage, markings, etc), is stored in a database. this info is shared with immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) and the police.
Maybe a Tip? Take it with a grain of salt, it's just my point of view.
TAGGING
I worked in retail, three clothing stores, and at each and every one, we were often asked to be on the floor and tag merchandise there while assisting the customers. At stores with pushy sales associates and not too large, not too many employees, we would also detag stuff ON THE FLOOR. I canโt tell you how many times I was told โtags in pockets? Double tagged? STOLEN. DONโT ASSUME OTHERWISE.โ And yet, I would be working and drop one part of the tag (just one) on the floor and it would get lost. Weโd sometimes find them and just throw them back in their bins for later tagging. My point is this: employees donโt drop sealed tags, ON THEIR OWN, on the fucking floor. We just donโt. Ever. But drop a piece to the tag? Yes. Sometimes, we do. If your store doesnโt have cameras or has inattentive sales associates, if you can do so on camera without being suspicious, walk around with the rest of your hangers like youโre still looking. Drop in two solitary areas away from sight one part vs two parts. If a sales associate sees a part of the tag missing, and canโt find the other part nearby, theyโll assume it was THEIR fault. I dropped this piece while tagging on the floor! I dropped it while bringing the bins of sensors and tags *the part that goes off, and separately the part that locks it to the clothing, kept together* while bringing it to the back, OR TRAVELING AROUND THE STORE WITH IT AND EYEING CUSTOMERS. At every store I worked at, even fucking Lacoste, that merchandise as well as the detagger were kept duplicates of on the floor for โtasks.โ If you double tag an item, theyโll go check their cameras. Theyโll know someone stole. If they see a closed tag on the floor, someone stole. A sales associate would never do that. If they find both parts to a tag in a pocket, someone stole. They know that. They will EVALUATE WHO IT WAS. If I saw one part on the floor, many times it happened, โOh, silly us. Dropped it while tasking.โ At the very least, there is less conclusion than those items thrown TOGETHER. Get rid of tags in the most subtle and accidental way possible. Please donโt double tag or put tags in pockets. Sales associates will notice. Either way, you take a risk. Not sure if this helps anyone, but this is how it was for me. I once found a piece and told my manager one of us might have dropped it, and she just said โhappens all the time. Put it back in the bin.โ
This is so smart! I work/worked retail and can confirm this.
โค๏ธHELLO LOVESโค๏ธ
This is going to be a security tag names and removal post!!
Iโm getting a lot of questions about the different types of tags and how to get them off sooo Iโm going to be telling you guys the names of all of these tags from left to right starting with the top row and how to get them off.
1) sensormatic tag: donโt know the exact tag name but ik thatโs a sensormatic and that one requires a hook.
2) sensormatic tag: hook
3) sensormatic: magnet
4) sensormatic: hook
5) sensormatic pencil tag: hook
6 & 7) gator: magnet or rubber band/hair tie
8) clam/UFO: magnet
9) some kind of sensormatic: magnet
10) these fucking suck and idk what theyโre called but they require a lot of twisting and tugging and maybe a magnet? Not completely sure. You can probably cut the wire but idk if thatโll trigger an alarm. It depends
11-16) pencil tags: magnet
17) clam tag/dome tag: magnet
18-23) clam/dome: magnet
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
**an easy way to remember types of tags and removal is this:
โขthe more rectangular, thin, vertical ones are pencil tags
โขthe ones that are flat and rectangular with a small hole on the side and are curved are for hooks
โขdome shaped tags and square shaped tags and tags with those bumps on them are for magnets. Theyโre magnetic and held together with a pin that the magnet pulls off
โขthose ugly yellow ones that have the little pyramids are gator tags and require bands of some sort and a magnet helps
โขmost ink tags (not pictured in this post but will say ink tag and be clear and have visible ink in them usually) require magnets but sometimes bands
The first few are weird mutant shapes and not quite pencil or dome but the brand is sensormatic and their tags always require a hook or magnet
I hope this helps at least someone!
Xoxo, Haullsey

repost cuz it had too many notes
Okay, I havenโt been doing this for long, but Iโve been doing reasonably well, especially since the pre/during Christmas period is when Iโve done the bulk of my magic. Iโve fucked up a few times. Iโve beeped. Iโve hit locations more frequently than I should have, and when I havenโt known what Iโm walking into. But I still havenโt been suspected, or caught.ย
And Iโm gonna say this because I know there are a few new lifters around:
Hereโs what Iโm offering:
Know yourself
Know your limits. Donโt get cocky. Donโt get over-ambitious. When I first got to the online lifting community, I saw epic hauls, and yeah, I was like,ย โThis is awesome. I want to do this.โ But I also know my own limitations. Obviously Iโm not going to walk out with a designer handbag the first time I lift: you need to ease yourself into it.ย
Educate yourself
Especially for the US lifters, there is a wealth of information out there on tag types used in stores, company policy, etc. Read it. Be a little sponge for information in your early days, and remember things.ย
Adapt to new environments
You may not know how everything works, but look and learn. One of the best tactics is to scope out things in a non-sus way. Keep an eye on where cameras are, and assume that all of them are monitored. Remember that while your eyes can move, your body doesnโt have to. This also goes for blindspots: temporary displays, or cages being unpacked, can create perfect blindspots for you. Distracted staff who are presumably not going to be shoplifted in front of might have their back turned, creating perfect opportunities for you. Remember, a lot of security is based around how they think lifters workย and this doesnโt account for people doing things like concealing when someone had their back turned or utilising a cage in front of a camera. Physical blindspots are one thing, but *human* blindspots are something else entirely.
Be aware of your body language
Donโt rush and fidget after lifting. Donโt give any indication that youโre nervous. Gear yourself into autodrive; convince yourself that youโre just browsing, and continue that mindset immediately before and after concealing. โForgetโ that youโve concealed once you have. Learn how to do things with your hands without actually looking at your hands: this is super important for peeling off RFIDs on the floor, as well as concealing.ย
Be Quick
Donโt fuck around with packaging (donโt be scared to leave something on the shelf if you donโt think you can untag it) in a way thatโs noisy or complicated or is going to require lots of messing around. Donโt lift in ways that mean unnaturally adjusting your bag or clothing. If you put your hand into a pocket, pulling out a phone rather than nothing is a better idea. The aim is to be fluid and natural.
Get out if you feel sussed
I donโt give a shit if youโre missing out on something you really want, the moment you make a certain eye contact with the certain wrong somebodyโ and trust me, you will knowย that lookโย ditch what they have seen and get the fuck out. You can get that something elsewhere. Itโs not worth ruining your future for a bottle of foundation.
Pay attention to staff
Watch out for whoโs working when you lift or suss out a shop. Donโt rely on them forgetting you. And the moment you feel recognised? Get out. And aim not to return for a long time. There are a few places I wonโt be going back to for awhile, but I was smart enough to make sure they werenโt places I frequent anyway. Donโt count on yourย โwell, I got away that timeโ meaning that youโre going to be safe the next time you go in.ย
Bullshit
Learn to conceal well and bullshit. Learn how to move the contents of your bag aside, concealing what youโve jacked. Learn how to breezily roll your eyes about something you bought elsewhere that sets off alarms. Learn how to act like normal people would in any ordinary situation. Fluster, be embarassed, you have no idea whatโs going on. Humans are social creatures who empathise and generally will interact well with people who areย โnice.โ Be nice. Be everything they want you to be, and they wonโt want you to be one of the โbad guysโ.ย
Make use of diversion
If you offer up your handbag for inspection and are carrying bags of groceries, odds are likely that youโre not going to be asked to reveal the contents of the grocery bags. Look at where people are directing their line of sight, and work out how to do things outย of that line of sight. Learn how toย โlookโ at one product while youโre concealing another one.ย
Learn where the weak points are
Nine times out of ten, humans are the weakest link in every security system. Know when staff are going to be distracted because theyโre exhausted/bored/busy. Know where to hit human empathy. Know where to hit blindspots. Find that untagged item or changeroom consultant who doesnโt count, while you have an extra item concealed under a mountain of clothing. Most SAs are not naturally suspicious unless something tweaks their alarm bells. Donโt tweak their alarm bells.
Start Small
Seriously, donโt aim for high-end makeup palettes just yet. Maybe a lipstick is a good starter. Wear long sleeves, get a sense of sleight of hand and acting normal first. Get comfortable with what youโre doing.ย
Aim for improvement
No matter how good you are, you can always do better. Not in terms of stuff acquired, in terms of subtlety and timing and technique. Every time you lift, once youโre out of the danger zone, reflect on what youโve done. Look at it as though youโre watching a video of how you did it, and work out where you fucked up. Make sure you never make the same mistake again. Making mistakes is fine, and part of the learning process, as long as you actually learn from them and donโt get your arse busted while doing so.
Take breaks
Donโt lift daily. Donโt lift when youโre in the middle of anxiety or something awful has happened. Even if you get away clean, youโre going to feel it for awhile afterwards. I get that lifting CAN ease negative feelings, but when youโre emotional and out of control, thatโs when youโre liable to fuck up. Use the prospect of getting out to lift again as a motivation to get your headshit together by all means, but make sure youโre operating at full capacity when you hit. The best situation, otherwise, is getting out with stuff, but wondering how you did it, and being haunted. The typical situation is leaving empty handed. The worst? Getting caught. All three of these are not ideal situations.ย
Donโt do what theyโre expecting you to do
This is basically the crux of it: donโt act like what people think aย โtypical lifterโ is. Dressing well is part of it. But another part of it is knowing what items are likely to get lifted, and not pointedly going for them. Another part is controlling your body languageโ your thoughts, evenโ and being normal. Another part is not returning to the scene of a huge haul because you know itโsย โeasy.โ Being polite and friendly rather than evasive and suss, when talked to, will make you look far less suspicious than if theyโre already onto you and you are annoyed or aggressive. Hell, you might get people THINKING you look suss, but convincing themselves that youโre not because theyโve watched you and youโre just a bit OCD or awkward rather than lifting. They know you. Youโre fiiine.
Look at how you leave stock
If youโre going to leave packaging anywhere, return it to in the middle of the items on display, packaged up fine, like you opened it to look at the item and then returned it. Donโt leave it somewhere random, and donโt leave it at the front or the back: thatโs obvious. Leave it where itโs not going to draw attention for some time. If youโre going to leave rubbish, make sure it looks like rubbish (rather than a destroyed tag) or is well hidden. If you have to double-tag, double-tag in inconspicuous spots, like inside a pocket of an item that you never even took into a dressing room. If that changeroom you walked into had no hangers in it, donโt leave any. Grab stock from the back of a section rather than the front, or if you do that, face it forward: remember, a lot of LP will look at stock rather than customers, and if something it missing in an otherwise tidy area that you were in, it can look suss. ย
Work out how you work best
I prefer working alone. I probably have trust issues to the point where I donโt want to rely on anyone. Sleight of hand and bullshit are probably my best skills. I would prefer to take a little longer in a shop and be recognised, but also to be thought of as a bit of a weirdo rather than a suss lifter. And I treat every other person, camera, point of observation, etc, as a potential risk.
And thatโs not necessarily going to be everyoneโs best technique. A huge part of this is knowing your strengths and weaknesses, and basically maximising and minimising accordingly. Since weโre all different, weโre all going to have different ways of doing things that feel comfortable for us: the thing is that youโve got to feel comfortable. If, say, youโre more of an in-out ninja type, youโre not going to feel as comfy talking to people. You need to work out what actually works for you, and resembles something close to normal.

โจWhat is TRร? โThe Rรชtร il Eqลซฤtฤซoลโโจ
Iโve just discovered something bizarre this community should be aware of Iโve seen nothing about. Im on my computer so bear with me with my typing LOL.
Iโve had a ฤรฅp acc for years and have periodically done ฤรฑรค requests. At one point a few years ago they were denying me left and right. Then it went back to letting me. I tried a small one for hahas the other day (~70) that was a part of a bigger order but shรฌpped separately. You basically go fill out an order issue form on the app and it auto refรนnds you or doesnโt. To my surprise, it said my claim was denied due to Tลร or โthe ลetaiล equรคtiรฒnโ. Iโve never heard of this before, it gave me a code to go contact ศลรจ with so I did while simultaneously doing my own research.
Essentially, it is a company that exists to track you and keep your data from various large ลetailรจrs and builds a file on you. Each rรชtailer shares your info with them and tลฤ uses your info make a score kind of like a fucking credit score (no Iโm not kidding) to help the company determine whether or not they should give you your money back.
You can request something called your โลฤtaiล aฤtivรฌty rรซpรดrtโ to figure out why you were denied. I did that and it took them 24 hours to send me the fucking report which is obnoxious on its own because you know they automate that shit and it couldโve been sent to me right away. Upon reviewing it, there is nothing even on it but the two recent denial attempts from the same ฤรคp package because I tried 2x and got the ศลe notice both times thinking the first was an error and I wanted to be sure that this was actually happening.
Apparently, they can use info from other companies to tell one whether or not to help you. But that info isnโt even included in my report or available to ฤap. They just take ลฅrรชโs word for it. Iโm assuming thatโs what happened to me.
A couple thoughts on this. This is fucked up. I am so tired of the level to which we are being monitored as a whole by ai. There is no privacy in anything anymore and Iโm not sure how this is even legal. From my understanding, it exists to help keep track of unreceipted rรชturns. So anytime someone goes to make a rรชturn somewhere without a rรชceipt, they have to hand over their license and that info is entered and shared with ลฅลe and then linked to your online footprint with that info.
I have seen some posts over on rฤddรฌt talking about this and how they were denied a rรซturn for no specific reason either. My report quite literally says no reason for the denials available and counts the two claim attempts together in a dollar amount which makes no sense because I didnโt get refunded. And some people have complained to the bรฉttแบฝr buศiรฑesศ bรนreรฅu and were able to get their money back.
Iโm not sure what the right course of action is but be aware that this piece of shit entity is harvesting your info, tracking you, and shit talking you to some places you try to buy from. Iโm just imagining how if I tried to bring anything I bought online from ฤap in person now to rฤturn or exchange they would tell me no, print out a receipt with the ศrฤ info on it and how insane and completely utterly fucking stupid that is. Because apparently once you have this issue youโre denied them even with a reรงeipt.
Even more strange to me is that none of my previous history with the company or their sister brands was on this report. I spend 100s if not 1000s every year with them and their sister brands and knowing they use shitty couriรชrs like lรฃzฤrshรฎp, I would expect them not to be so stingy with my order issues. I think Iโll probably try to fight it on principal and just the anger over this whole thing and how they keep making it harder and harder not just on us but in situations where people are returning gifts or whatever.
I also know weโve all been aware of the shippinฤ protectioล companies or places like รฑarvรคr (who are probably in cahoots with ศre) that hold onto your info but this feels like an important matter and I think from now on donโt even attempt shit unless you have all new info for any brand that uses this bullshit. I will absolutely try again in the future but itโll be with all new stuff because clearly theyโre tracking me from my main รชmail and # which is so funny because before I got smart about doing this I was burning myself at different places left and right like ลepฤงora comes to mind and I really fought that but have since been able to bypass w new info so itโs my own fault for using my personal stuff but I genuinely figured because Iโm such a loyal customer that it wouldnโt be an issue.
Stay safe everyone xo
Why this matters๐
I used to be cold every morning, I used to have a thin blanket as my comforter and the same five outfits with zero makeup and one body spray and deodorant, today I just woke up covered in my lifted bedspreads with my head on my lifted pillows, sat down at my desk and put dry shampoo in my hair instead of leaving it oily, elegantly put lifted makeup on, applied a lifted deodorant and body spray all while getting changed into lifted leggings, socks and a winter jacket. There is NOTHING different about my social status between these two point in my life. My mom still makes no money and I still donโt have a steady job. I am happier, I am happier, I am happier with lifted things to make me feel like a person.
I am clean, I have makeup, I have a nice room, I have the school supplies I need, I have perfumes and lotions galore. If you told me that Iโd have this much when I was 14 Iโd laugh. Lifting changes my life. The confidence I now have is astonishing. So now catch my modeling down my schools walk way with my new $250 coat!
๐๐๐YOURE WORTH IT๐๐๐
โค๏ธโค๏ธ
Treat yourself โค๏ธ
I feel this so much โค๏ธ being in debt for a long time made me feel worthless and using/wearing nice things helps with my confidence and mental wellbeing. I didnโt have any nice clothes anymore and I had one pair of shoes that wasnโt gonna last long anymore. Now I need an actual closet for my clothes and I have 3 pairs of brand new, comfortable and waterproof shoes :) having wet feet when it rains really sucks lol
I was homeless and living in my car for a period of time. I washed my hair in public bathroom sinks with lifted shampoo and conditioner. i ate lifted food. i used lifted makeup and did my face up using the little mirror over the front seat of my car. i wore lifted clothes and shoes. i wore lifted chapstick, deoderant, and perfume. i used a lifted hairbrush, lifted toothbrush, and lifted toothpaste every night.
during the worst time of my life, lifting allowed me to still feel beautiful.
Havenโt lifted in a hot minute due to school but when I did it was because my mom does not make a lot of money. We consistently struggle. Lifting allowed me to get us both some nice, simple things we deserved. Oh ma you had a bad day? Surprise chocolate youโve always wanted to try! I had a rough week? I am grabbing that loose highlighter from target or some shit and concealing. I deserve nice things. My mother deserves nice things.
This was my old blog Incase anybody wants to see more posts like this. I LOVE YOU GUYS๐
what a great thread :)

How to be a better lifter
Work retail. Seriously. ESp if youโre one of those lifters who feel like every one is on to them. When working retail you (I) can never really focus on anything Besides folding and saying hi to people who walk in. Itโs really hard to be doing my job and looking for people who might steal. But it is my second week so maybe Iโll get better at noticing shoplifting (not that I would tell obviously lmao)
I worked in retail for quite a while and I literally never got better at finding shoplifters. Making sales goals and keeping the store clean were way higher on the priority list.
Same ^ I worked at Target and I worked Customer Service so I had the perfect view of the LPโs office (the only LP guy we had) and I never once saw him take someone in there and never once was there police at my store while I worked. Plus I always knew his schedule which was every Saturday off. I worked 40 hours a week too. So itโs nice to learn the inner workings of the LP at your store. I also learned that my Staples doesnโt have any LP or cameras from working there. Working retail is awesome for shoplifters.
Iโve worked at pac sun, forever 21, and old navyย You literally donโt have the time or energy to spot lifters or even care to spot them because it simply isnโt our jobs to find lifters either. Of course theres those few SA who are die hard to find the lifters but really we normal dont even think about it
you do have to be careful with dressing room SAs still since that IS part of their job to follow policy to prevent shoplifting. otherwise yes
Tags & How to Remove them
GATOR TAGS: You can remove them by wrapping a rubber band in between the pin and the tag. Type inย โHow to remove gator tag with rubber bandโ on youtube.(: THIS IS THE ONLY TAG THAT CAN BE REMOVED WITH A RUBBER BAND.
SENSORMATIC TAG: Iโve seen them as white, tan, and black. As long as it has a little slot on it, you can remove it with a hook. Below is a picture of what a hook looks like and where you can order it in the U.S.

I call the first 3 tagsย โgolfโ andย โclamโ tags. I donโt know what #4 and #5 are called. Iโve never seen #7-#9 either. Haha. #6 is a pencil tag attached to a lanyard. Lanyards are tough to cut. Youโd have to have some wire cutters or something. All of the tags above can be removed with a golf detacher, which is made of a Neodymium magnet. Below is a link to where you can buy a golf detacher and what it looks like.

SPIDER WRAP: These are normally used on boxed items. DONโT TRY TO CUT THE WIRES BECAUSE AN ALARM WILL SOUND. You can either remove it by ripping off a corner of the box and shimmying the wrap off or you can use a spider wrap detacher. Iโm not sure how the detacher works because I donโt have one, but you can search it up on youtube.(: A picture of the detacher and a link to buy it is below.

what is stopping you from doing what you want to do now? most of the time there is nothing stopping you but yourself. everyday you have a choice to break the cycle or repeat. what do you want to do? stop waiting, stop telling yourself โill do it in 5 minutesโ and never do. this type of mindset limits your potential.
if there is something that has been constantly on your mind, pursue it. nothing can go wrong once you start becoming a better version of yourself. this is YOUR life, nobody elseโs. you get to have a say in what you want in your life and what you want OUT of your life do not let peopleโs opinions stop you from doing what you want to do, do not let the comfort of your mindset stop you from doing what you want to do.
DO IT NOW! start with the fear, start with a shaky hand, start with doubts, start with insecurity because guess what? once you start and never look back youโre going to be so happy with yourself.

10 top ways shoplifters get caught
This was written by an LP, i merely copied and pasted it. REBLOG AND INFORM
Despite what you may have heard, there is no perfect shoplifting method. You can be caught NO MATTER how you try to steal. A lot of it is the luck of the draw. Is LP in the store? Are they busy with another shoplifter? Are they watching you? There is no way you can be sure. You can be sure however, that you significantly increase your chances of getting yourself caught when:
10)You carry a flat purse or back-pack: Fairly obvious, right? Not only is this an attention grabber, but it also makes the LP Agentโs job much easier. Your bag was flat, and then magically became full right after all the merchandise you were carrying disappeared. Did the LP Agent watch you fill your bag? That does not really matter. The LP Agent did not need to see concealment (See my article: The 6 Steps of Loss Prevention) to confidently make a stop on you. It is fairly obvious. Most LP Agents will make that stop. On top of being obvious, entering a store with an empty bag can also bump your charge from petty theft to burglary.
9)You over-act: You pick up the item you plan on stealing. You begin tapping on it, wiggling it, playing with it, and looking around like everything is cool. Yes, people actually think this works. When you take this approach you are basically telling LP Agents โHey, I am not going to steal this! Look, Iโm playing with it out in the open. I wouldnโt be doing that if I were going to steal it.โ Then you steal it. Happens all the time.
8)You under-act: You pick up the item you are going to steal and immediately palm the item, or hold it behind something. You then quickly walk off to the most deserted part of the store. The race is on. The LP Agent knows he needs to get a view of you, either on camera or on the floor to witness the concealment.
7)You are overly friendly: You come in and immediately start chatting with store employees. Youโre such a nice person! You would never steal. This will work when trying to deceive regular workers but LP is not falling for it. I have even had employees try to stop me from making an apprehension because they thought I was going to make a bad stop on that โniceโ person. When I see someone being overly friendly with cashiers, managers or anybody with a name tag, I immediately become suspicious. They could be a genuinely nice person but nice people steal too.
6)You fail the โscare testโ: When I suspect somebody is a shoplifter I will often give them the scare test. This means I will have several people walk past the area where my suspect is looking at items. A normal shopper will pay little to no attention to who is around them. A nervous shoplifter will turn their head at everyone that passes by. Often times they will look them up and down evaluating whether or not they seem like an undercover. When this happens it is a good indicator that I should set up on this person and wait for them to โgoโ.
5)You are bringing non-clothing items into the fitting room: Some people actually think that if they conceal merchandise in the fitting room that they can not be arrested by Loss Prevention Agents. This is because it eliminates the possibility of the LP Agentโs step # 3. This might work on some LP Agents, but certainly not the oneโs that are good at what they do. If I see someone bringing something into the fitting room that is not supposed to be tried on such as DVDs, Jewelry, makeup, etc., they have my full attention until I see them exit the fitting room carrying that merchandise. Believe me, bringing stuff into the fitting room is a false sense of security and it will get you caught.
4)You are leaving an evidence trail: You select the item you want to steal. You are not sure if the item will make the door beep or not so you decide to remove the item from the package. Or maybe you want to pretend the item was already yourโs so you rip the tags off. Now you can conceal the item. However, you also need to rid yourself of the package. So you discard it on the shelf, or you hide it behind something. You just made the LP Agents job 95% easier. Maybe they did not see you conceal the item, but they did see you toss something down or hide something. They find the package. Now LP knows what the item is, they know you removed it from the package (this is vandalism and is illegal), and they know you are up to no good. When you walk out of the store, all the LP Agent needs to do is approach you with the empty package and demand that you return the item. They will likely tell you that you are on video opening it (you may or may not be). They will tell you that if you do not return the item you will be charged with vandalism (this trick is likely against their LP policy but it is completely legal). Once you produce the item you are under arrest for theft. It is a lose-lose situation that you created by leaving a trail of packages and tags.
3)You have โshiftyโ eyes: Everyone knows that you are not supposed to blatantly look for cameras or look around for people when you are going to steal. However, it seems that the majority overcompensates. When you look up to the ceiling and then side to side without moving your head, you have โshifty eyesโ. Shifty eyes get shoplifters caught every day. In fact, if I am about to give up on a perspective shoplifter and they shift their eyes, I will watch them until they leave the store, no exceptions.
2)You use two hands: As an LP Agent, nothing catches my eye more than somebody with both hands on the sales shelf. When an honest shopper looks at a product of interest on the sales shelf, they typically take the item in one hand and remove it from the shelf to look at it in the open. When a shoplifter puts both hands on a product and does not remove the object from the shelf it is a DEAD GIVE AWAY that they are opening something. I have caught shoplifters that I otherwise would not have even noticed simply because they used two hands!
1)You just plain look like a shoplifter: You know who you are! This is by far the most common reason people get caught. If you fit the stereotypical profile of someone who would likely shoplift you are likely being watched as an โeasy statโ. So if you have 10 facial piercings, and a bright green mohawk, or if youโre just a shady looking character, donโt do it.
