yup. i made a server just for myself, i have a channel for reminders and calendaring, a channel for to-dos, a channel for snippets of fiction and writing ideas that come to me when i’m out and about, and a channel of just “links” for when i need to get a zoom link or whatever from my phone to my computer fast and easy.

not to be "controversial" but i feel like it needs to be emphasized that systems cannot control what kinds of alters form, especially introjects, and because somebody forms from a problematic source doesn't mean they deserve to be shit on... Like obviously this is a nuanced situation, but if the system does not condone, consume, or associate with the source then why is it so hard to treat them with respect...

And then there's the whole argument with it being "suspicious" for the alter to have been formed in the first place... as if tons of younger systems were not groomed online or exposed to awful media when they were mentally unprepared and too young to fully understand what was wrong with it... and when you get older and realize what was wrong, when you come to terms with introjects being from those sources, there's so much stigmatization and shame associated with it, which can genuinely damage a system, their interpersonal relationships, etc. all of this can be remedied by an increased understanding of why the aforementioned happens in the first place. just be normal sympathetic and respectful like it's not hard whatsoever

In simple terms, having DID means your brain is hypertuned to adapting to circumstances, and to do that your brain needs to keep separate tabs on all the different parts of your personality. In other words, it's kinda like a snake shedding their skin to grow and adapt, but the skin is now a different, equally-as-alive snake. In OTHER other words, people with DID are worms, but all of the parts of the worm that are cut to become other worms have formed a personally exclusive worm society
