Why are all the baby snakes in small containers?

Hello friend!

I’m assuming you’re referring to this post, showing all of the littles in teeny-tiny deli cups?

That’s how they have their dinners. I put each snake into a deli cup so that I can weigh, feed, and document all in one go instead of opening a bunch of enclosures and harassing a bunch of babies multiple times. This reduces overall stress AND it helps to acclimate the babies to human contact versus putting food in their enclosure and never handling them. It also allows me to monitor health and give each baby a once-over before they have their meals. As another bonus, I’ll often use the time they’re in their cups to spot-clean their enclosures, take photos, and evaluate temperament.

Once dinner is over, they go back to their appropriately-sized regular enclosures. :)

This clickbait is literally SO funny because while I get they wanted it to look intimidating, that's a fucking ringneck snake.

I guess it looks kind of scary if you dont know what it is. But the ringneck snake (called "southern ringneck" in Florida, where I live) is probably one of the most non-lethal and completely harmless snakes ever. They're not venomous, are nocturnal, and also....

ONLY GROW TO BE THIS FUCKING BIG. They're super tiny!!!! Adorable little things!!! They're just babies. And I love them with my whole heart.

How can you look at this thing, full grown and harmless, and be like "that thing is gonna kill me"? U can't. Is babie.
