I made some whump bingo prompt cards for anyone to fill. This isn't a time-bound event, so play whenever you want!

I was thinking I wanted to make some more sets of prompts people could use, and I decided it would be fun to put together some bingos!This isn't for a preexisting event; it's its own thing.
I made one for each of three different themes: the "care" bingo sheet focused on comfort and caretaking, the "whumping" bingo sheet focused on the hurt, and the "carewhumping" bingo sheet focused on that grey area including subtler whump and bad caretaking. I just used these themes to inspire me and help each list be more cohesive; you don't have to stick to the overall theme in each fill if you don't want to! I also made some bonus combo sheets with the same prompts, but split between themes. To join in, pick whichever of the six sheets you like!
How can I interpret the prompts?
However you see fit. The title at the top of each card is mainly for aesthetic and unity; you do not need to take the title into account when filling one of the prompts underneath it.
If a prompt is vague that's because it's meant to be free for you to interpret as suits your needs or your fancy. There's no wrong way to interpret the prompts; they're meant to spark inspiration and provide a fun challenge!
Is this meant to be interactive (i.e. have prompts chosen by others)?
Up to you! I've seen many people use bingo sheets as a sort of ask game where readers/followers send in the square they want to see filled and the creator uses it as a prompt. You're certainly welcome to do that with these, but it is not a requirement! If you'd rather pick your own prompts to fill from the sheet, that's totally welcome too.
You said this is for any time?
Yes! Many events run through specific dates or seasons, but this one is for you to do at your leisure. There is no specific time it's running and no due date to complete it. You can also do it multiple times and try out a different bingo card if you like.
What's the "Dealer's choice" where the free space usually is?
I wanted to set it up so that it takes the same amount of prompt fills to make a bingo no matter where it's aligned, but I also wanted to allow some flexibility especially since the center spot is the one used in the greatest number of possible bingos.
To fill the dealer's choice square, create something as you would for one of the other squares, but you get to decide your own prompt. You can pick from any existing prompt or come up with something new yourself!
Alternatively, if you are making the bingo interactive as a request/ask game, you may open it up for that square to be prompted by one of your readers, at your discretion.
What do I need to win the bingo or achieve completionist?
You can chase whatever goal you please—but the ones that will be officially recognized on this blog are bingo and blackout. To get a bingo, get five in a row, in any direction, on any one card from this post. To get a blackout, completely fill any one card from this post. Pick whichever card you'd prefer to work on. Only one card is needed, but you're welcome to fill multiple if you want.
What kind of entries/prompt fills are accepted?
Any creative format: writing, drawing, 3d, gifsets, photoshoots, etc. No generative AI or other forms of plagiarism, other than that go nuts.
How should I tag?
Since this event is asynchronous and has no expiration date, I won't be able to check tags regularly for it. If you want it reblogged here, in this case the best way is to @ this blog. The only tags required are whatever is necessary for people to filter and browse safely.
If you want a standardized tag just for organization and browsing, I'll propose #snakesummer26bingo (but I'm open to changing this if you can get the feedback in before participants post). But using this tag is fully optional.

Is it required to @ this blog?
Not necessarily. That's the best way to get reblogged here for this event, but it's not a strict requirement for participation.
However, if you don't, you are encouraged to reblog or link back to this post in some way in case others want to fill a sheet themselves! If you want to make it easier for people, please also feel free to link back even if you did mention the blog. Again though, it's not a strict requirement as to how, just try to make it possible for people to find.

Wait wait. Team that includes a sadist x masochist couple, and when masochist Caretaker first discovers Whumpee's wounds their first thought is that their partner might be cheating on them. is this anything
Whumpee is at flatline. And their caretakers/team are doing everything they can, desperate to save them.
They exhausted themselves keeping up CPR for an extended period, several doses of adrenaline, tried anything they could think of, with no response. Finally it's time to call it. Whumpee's friends start to grieve.
When a character with some sort of medical background is dangerously sick or injured, and they're definitely not in any state to treat themself but on autopilot they start listing out their symptoms in clinical language. Like they can't help but fall back on the familiar routine instead of processing the implications
People in the notes have started talking about the whumpee walking another character through helping them, and don't get me wrong, that's good too. But this post specifically is about when they're not well enough to register and handle the situation like that. I'm picturing loss of control, not taking control. When they aren't willing or able to deal with the full frightening implications so they desperately grasp for something they know and land on cataloguing symptoms.
Like, Whumpee half-delirious with fever keeps trying to sit up while rattling off their symptoms, and Caretaker is pushing them back into bed for the nth time saying I know, we've got it, please relax. Whumpee in shock is gasping out jargon about the type and severity of their injury while Caretaker is begging them to just tell me what to DO about it! That kind of thing.

Hey. I think I need to take a break from my mind control double cyoa for a bit. It's just not sparking joy right now, and I think I'll be able to both get more out of it and give it more life if I can approach it when I'm genuinely in the mood for it again. It is not abandoned, but at this time I'm not certain how long it will be before I come back to it.

Whumper shifted, releasing their embrace on Whumpee. Whumper held out a hand, and prompted Whumpee, “Give me your hands.”
It was clear from Whumpee’s face they weren’t sure where this was going, but they obeyed without hesitation. Whumper worked at the rope and untied Whumpee’s wrists. They did the same for Whumpee’s bound ankles.
“I need to go for a little while, alright?” Whumper said, setting up the test. Whumpee nodded, accepting without requiring more information. Whumper pet Whumpee’s head once more, then left them there. Whumpee watched them go without saying anything, but didn’t seem happy about the parting either.
They didn’t follow as Whumper left the room. Whumper waited a short while and didn’t see or hear anything from them, so Whumper crept back to the bedroom Whumpee was in. They listened at the door, and when that didn’t yield anything, they peeked inside.
Whumpee didn’t see. They were just sitting there. They looked lost in thought, brow furrowed in concentration. Whumper kept watching, but Whumpee made no apparent move to bring themself out of their contemplation.
That’s enough of that, Whumper thought. They reset position, then opened the door as if they’d just then arrived outside it. “Hey there.”
Whumpee startled. They offered Whumper a smile but still seemed wrapped up in some trail of thought or worry in their head.

This event was previously introduced here, but a few things have changed, so here's the updated info post for it!
This is a whump event. Each prompt will be a song, which you can use as a prompt in whatever way you want.
This year the event will run the last two full weeks of June (June 14-27). While it runs for two weeks, only one week's worth is needed to count for completion, and you can use the remainder as alt prompts if you so choose.

I'll try to reblog participant posts to this blog. The official event tag will be #sevensongsofsuffering2026, and that tag is the main place I'll look for submissions to reblog.
Answered questions:
How are you supposed to use a song as a prompt?
However you want! You can use the title as your prompt, you can pick a line/section of the lyrics to use as your prompt, use the overall picture the song paints as your prompt, or even just listen to the song as you create. Whatever works for you.
What are the requirements?
For participation: Respond to at least one of the prompts in this event.
For completion: Create something for each of at least seven of the prompts in this event.
How does the two-week system work?
The intention is that you pick one week to do and use the other as alt prompts if needed—but that's not a rule. If you prefer, you can mix and match between the weeks however you want, spread out across both, or even do all 14 days.
How should I tag?
The official event tag is #sevensongsofsuffering2026, and that is the primary place I will check for works to reblog.
You may also @ this blog (@snakes-events-blog) if you would like, but this is optional, and not needed in order to have your works reblogged as long as they can be found in the #sevensongsofsuffering2026 tag.
Since the official tag is a bit long, I'll probably treat #ssos26 as a sort of secondary tag if you want to use it, but it is not required, and I will not be checking it as religiously as the official tag.
Specific days' tags will be in the following format: #ssosday1, etc. Including these in your entries is completely optional but may help browsing and organization.
Make sure you tag with any important trigger or content warnings so people can filter as needed.
You're also welcome to add whatever other tags you see fit, but I may not carry them all over when I reblog here.
Do I need to include TWs/CWs within the post as well as the tags?
If you want it reblogged here, make sure at least any really important CWs/TWs are included in the body of the post and not just the tags, as I don't want anything vital slipping through the cracks. You don't need to stress about covering every possible concern but at least make sure serious triggers and safety issues (like flashing) are warned for in the post itself.
Is NSFW allowed?
Yes, but it must be labelled properly, and I might not reblog it depending on how explicit it is. (It will still count towards completion I just might not want to put it on my blog due to my own personal comfort levels.)
When do I need to post?
Anytime the event is running (this year that's June 14-27).
I'll allow a few days of wiggle room in case people finish a little late, though i might not check things quite as consistently during that grace period. After that, you are more than welcome to use the prompts, but you will not be added to the completionist list and I will not be as likely to reblog it.
I am in Mountain time but I'll try to be conscious of other time zones.
Do prompts have to be filled in order?
Nope! Use any prompt any time during the the event. It doesn't need to be posted the day of or in order. As long as you get it out during the event it will count.
However, if you are using the day-specific tags (#ssosday1, etc.), please tag according to the day the prompt is listed rather than the day you post it if the two do not match.
Can this event be combined with others?
Absolutely! As long as a work responds to one of this event's prompts, it counts even if it also responds to something else.
What formats are allowed for prompt fills?
Any creative work! Writing, drawing, painting, comics, 3D, photography, etc. Anything you yourself make. Generative AI is not welcome here.
Pet scooted closer and snuggled up to their owner.
“There, good pet, you’re welcome,” Master cooed, and embraced them. They held Pet for a little while, then started petting their hair.
Pet cuddled closer and leaned into the touch, enjoying the sensation and the affection. Their master seemed to be happy about it too. They cuddled for a while before Whumper shifted.
“Give me your hands,” they prompted gently, holding out their own hand. Pet was a little puzzled but complied, presenting their bound hands. Their master worked at the binding and untied Pet’s wrists, then did the same for their ankles.
“I need to go for a little while, alright?” Whumper said.
Pet nodded in acknowledgement. Master rubbed Pet’s head one more time in parting, and walked out of the room.
Pet was sorry to see them go and be left without their presence, but Pet knew it wasn’t a long-term parting, so they’d be alright. That had been nice. Now Pet was left on their own and untied.

Hmm rich Whumper in BBU/adjacent universe custom-ordering a pet for their friend, Caretaker
Bonus points if Caretaker can't free Whumpee, either because there's not a legal way to do that in this universe, or because Whumper will assume Whumpee wasn't up to par and will just order them another one. :)
You can do a lot of fun/interesting things with the "custom-ordered" aspect in particular. Caretaker ending up with a Whumpee they didn't want or plan for is a tried and true trope, but it adds delightful new layers if Whumpee is made specifically to appeal to Caretaker by someone who knows them.
Maybe Whumpee is trained in a service or task that will make Caretaker's life easier, maybe even something Caretaker needs. Maybe Whumpee is a Romantic who fits Caretaker's tastes exactly (the implications!). Maybe Whumpee was picked to fill a specific lonely hole in Caretaker's life. The important thing is that even though Caretaker wants to do right by them...the temptation to take advantage is non-zero.
Especially if Whumpee is conditioned enough to consistently beg for it and/or be upset that Caretaker's not using them as they were intended. >:)
“Can you sit up for me, sweetheart?” Whumper asked.
Whumpee nodded. They started wriggling to sit up. They didn’t request help, and Whumper didn’t offer it. They rather enjoyed watching Whumpee struggle. Whumper smiled as Whumpee awkwardly and painstakingly squirmed to a seated position despite the restraints binding them. So perfectly willing now to comply with Whumper’s wishes even when it was difficult or uncomfortable.
“Good,” Whumper cooed. “I’ll be right back.” They left the room to get food for Whumpee.
When they came back, Whumpee was waiting calmly right where they’d left them. Whumper sat next to them on the bed.
They were going to hand-feed their pet. “Here.” Whumper held up a piece of food.
Whumpee seemed to know exactly how to respond. They leaned in and took it using their mouth, gentle and delicate and oh so polite. Delightful. Whumper smiled at that, and praised them softly.
They continued like that, occasionally offering a sip of water instead of a bite of food, until Whumpee was finished. Whumpee behaved beautifully the whole time.
When they were done, Whumpee said sweetly, “Thank you, Master.” Whumpee smiled at Whumper and shifted closer. Then they snuggled into Whumper. Whumpee’s cuddling was affectionate and a little needy.
Gosh, that was adorable. “There, good pet, you’re welcome,” Whumper murmured. They put an arm around Whumpee and held them close for a few moments, then started petting their hair with the other hand.
Whumpee not only allowed it but seemed to appreciate it, leaning their head and pushing closer into Whumper’s hold. Whumpee was so good.
Whumper cuddled them for a while longer, enjoying this.
This certainly bode well. But Whumper figured they should observe Whumpee’s behavior a little longer before jumping to a conclusion.

How were they feeling? As glad as they were to be with Whumper, Pet was also kind of confused. But more than that, they felt a bit weird. “Strange…like there’s some part of me that’s off, or displaced…,” Pet answered.
“Thanks for telling me,” their master responded. “Let me know if it changes one way or the other, but don’t worry about it too much. Think you’re awake enough to do something else?”
“Mhm.” Pet nodded. If Whumper said not to worry, Pet wouldn’t worry. They trusted and obeyed their owner. And it was easy enough to let their concerns fade into the comfort that their mind whispered was right.
“Can you sit up for me, sweetheart?”
Pet nodded and agreed. They wriggled and shifted to a more upright position. Their master smiled, patient. It was awkward with their limbs bound, but Pet managed to sit up.
“Good. I’ll be right back,” Whumper said. They stood and left the room.
Pet waited for them to come back. In the meantime, Pet took a few moments to see if they could figure anything else out…nothing came to mind. They got a better look at the room from their new position. It seemed nice and comfortable, but nothing there really struck them as familiar. Well, maybe their owner would clear things up for them.
It wasn’t long before Whumper returned with a plate of food and cup of water. They sat next to Pet on the bed. They picked up a piece of food and held it up. “Here.”
Since Pet’s wrists were tied and Whumper was holding it near their face, Pet assumed they were supposed to take it without using their hands. They leaned and delicately took the food with their mouth, careful to keep the touch gentle and their teeth away from their master’s fingers. Whumper smiled and murmured their approval, then offered Pet another bite-sized piece.
They continued like that, interrupted by the occasional sip of water Whumper helped Pet with, for the rest of the meal. Pet was good. They tried to accept what their master offered as sweetly and politely as they could. They were rewarded with their owner being pleased and continuing to care for them. It was nice.
Once they were finished, Pet smiled and thanked their master.
