Snapdo puts the internet at your fingertips, making everyday events doable in a single click, or in “a snap”. This dynamic, fresh software company, with its headquarters in the Israel coastal city of Herzlia, is changing the way users interact with the internet. Its self-stated vision is to become a market leader in the provision of smart but simple web solutions and applications to improve browsing simplicity and efficiency. Snapdo widgets make use of already existing technologies and user interfaces, and work with all the major browsers – Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Although the Snapdo widgets work with all explorers, they are configured not to load in some websites due to compatibility issues. Snapdo is working to resolve these issues, but in order to deliver the best possible user experience, the company tries to avoid any issues of compatibility.
Snapdo products are completely free, and downloading them from the website is also a snap. Once downloaded and installed the widget are available for immediate use. Snapdo is customizable according to user preferences and can be positioned at the top or bottom of the screen, minimized and maximized, and hidden if this is the user’s wish.
Searching websites for text is enhanced using Snapdo as multiple sites can be searched at one, at the results displayed next to one another in a new window. Once the text for which to search has been marked or typed into the search box, a click on the plus button on the search menu will open a list from which to select the sites to search. One more click on “show multiple results” and a new browser window will open with the results.
The developers at Snapdo are well aware of the place of social networks in the lives of today’s users, and quick options are provided for sharing different content types, for example text or images. –In the case of text it’s as simple as marking the text, opening the Share box and selecting the desired network. If it’s an image to be shared, mousing over the image will open a floating menu in the upper left corner of the screen. Just select the network with which to share. Sharing is also possible across more than one social network, without having to share repeatedly – simply click the plus icon in the Share box and select multi-share. This will then allow the user to select the social networks with which to share.
A variety of other common tasks are made easier with Snapdo. Snap Capture allows the user take a screen capture, and easily drag to resize the capture to include only the part of the screen that is required. Users can Tweet or upload content with a single click, easily convert web pages to PDF format, listen to their local radio station – all with Snapdo widgets that at their fingertips. Facebook is also readily available – Like content or automatically zoom into an image – using a Snapdo widget. In short, Snap do allows you to do what you have been doing until now, just more easily, more efficiently and faster.
