I can’t talk when my mouth is full. Or at all, since, you know, I’m a hamster.
Here comes the Wookie, ready to pee on your floors!
I guess this toy is okay.
Crazy eyes!
I don’t even know what I’m doing!
If you’re grumpy and you know it, raise your paw.
All partied out.
Um, excuse me? Do you happen to have a yogurt treat?
I chew-chew-chews this bone.
Our hamster is literally using his balls as a pillow.
Are you there, God? It's me, Kitten.
UNACCEPTABLE.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING BUT PLEASE DO NOT STOP OH MY GOD IT FEELS SO GOOD.
Oh, hello.
Edit: Susan, our snake, is a Kenyan Sand Boa. We don't normally see her very much because she is a subterranean snake. She is almost always hiding under the substrate. She doesn't need hides, rocks, or branches in her tank because she is always "underground." Just a water bowl is enough for her.
Because she's from a hot, arid climate, her tank needs to be pretty warm. In addition to the heat lamp, there is a heating pad under the tank. It is connected to a thermostat. The hot side of the tank is usually about 90-95 degrees during the day. The cool side is usually 75-80. She is almost never on the cool side.
The water dish is under the heat lamp because Susan prefers it there. She uses it much more than when it was on the cool side of the tank. Maybe this makes her a little weird!
The cat cannot take off the lid; it is securely clamped on. She knows not to touch the heat lamp just like she knows not to touch the hot stove. She also does not normally sit on the tank; the whole reason I took a picture is because it was unusual. Finally, Susan isn't stressed. She's curious!
If you want to learn more about Kenyan Sand Boas, this is a great resource!
Your scratches are acceptable.
Yesssss. I caught it.
My ball fell through the crack again, didn't it?
