i stand by the assertion that kids should be taught about gender and sexualities in health class, and that it should be done from a neutral standpoint that lets students understand that gender variation and “nontraditional” sexual and romantic orientations are healthy and natural
that’s what we should teach instead of preaching abstinence
Do you ever do something and then go “nope, no. Really shouldn’t have done that. What the fuck possessed me to do that. Nope, what the fuck” Ye because I do
Hey followers, want to help me spread this like wild fire? It’s SO good! Take a listen. I love this guy, he does some great stuff!

My visit to get screened for cancer:
Nurse: "Sorry your boyfriend couldn't wait for you in the waiting room, it makes women feel uncomfortable."
Me: "He wasn't my boyfriend and I don't see how it would make them uncomfortable, but that's my opinion. He was here for moral support. I understood, and so does he."
Nurse: "So he's your...."
Me: "Friend."
Nurse: (During the question asking) "How many sexual partners have you had?"
Me: "11."
Nurse: "How old were you when you first became sexually active?"
Me: "....Loaded question but....14, I guess."
Nurse: "You're sexually active, then."
Me: "Well....I guess...but..."
Nurse: "How many times have you been pregnant?"
Me: "Uh. 0."
Nurse: "O...kayy...-Checks 'condoms' as my preferred use of birth control-"
Me: "I don't use condoms. Or take birth control."
Nurse: "Then how do you avoid getting pregnant?"
Me: "With homosexuality."

this is my brother two years ago. we were at the park, just me and him, and he turned to me and said “kayla, don’t you ever wish there were no bad people in the world?” i thought it to be a funny thing for a 5 year old to say, but shrugged it off. last year, he didnt come home from school, we thought that being only in grade prep, he might’ve decided to go home with his bestfriend without telling us, but he didn’t. the school confirmed they saw him get on his school bus after the bell rang. but thats all we knew, the bus driver said that he had gotten off a stop early, my mother was frantically searching the neighbourhood for him. we never found him. it’s been two years and we’re still looking for him, he was such a beautiful boy, and i cant help but think the worst. he could be anywhere in the world by now, so please, reblog this, no matter where you’re from, you could save a life. xx
if you dont reblog this i have no respect for you. help save a child’s life.
this literally breaks my heart
this relates to my blog in 0 ways. but how can i not reblog this. you have to be one heartless person to not reblog this.
I really hope he is found.

Ellen Page Comes Out
*Take the time to watch this amazing speech.*
The 26-year-old actress told the crowd "I’m here today because I am gay," adding "and because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility."
Page was speaking at the Human Rights Campaign’s THRIVE conference, an event supporting LGBTQ youth. Page spoke of the pressures of a life in the spotlight, and the toll that celebrity can take on one’s life.
"It’s weird because here I am, an actress, representing — at least in some sense — an industry that places crushing standards on all of us," the star of the upcoming movie "X-Men: Days of Future Past" said. "Not just young people, but everyone. Standards of beauty. Of a good life. Of success. Standards that, I hate to admit, have affected me."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Page expressed displeasure with gender stereotyping, and pointed to examples of “courage all around us,” including football player Michael Sam, “Orange Is the New Black” star Laverne Cox and musicians Tegan and Sara Quinn.
The Human Rights Campaign posted Page’s remarks online. Watch the amazing warm reception to her coming out at minute 5:20 in the video above posted by the Human Rights Campaign.
Page has previously advocated for women’s empowerment and lamented sexism in the entertainment industry.
When I was 16, I had a fake I.D. and decided to go to a gay bar by myself because some friends bailed on me. While there, an older gentleman bought me a drink. He wasn’t a creeper, and he definitely wasn’t unattractive. I accepted the drink and began talking to him. No big deal. As the hour progressed, I felt myself feeling strange. I mentioned that I felt like I had a headache, and this guy helped guide me out of the bar. As we were walking down the street, the thought of, ‘Oh god, he’s drugged me, I’m going to die’ came to my head. I tried to get away, but I was so drugged up that I could barely walk, let alone speak. It also didn’t help that I had really large ‘goth’ platform shoes because I was going through a phase. Anyway, this guy brought me to his suv and began undressing me. As a final act of defiance, I hit him over the head with my platform shoe. He then punched me, and I remember thinking, ‘Why don’t they ever give workshops to gay guys about being victims of rape too?’ While I was as careful as possible, I never saw the guy slip something in the drink. I even watched the bar tender make the drink. Anyway, I lied there completely paralyzed while this pervert was lubing up. I locked eyes with his for a moment, and that’s when it happened. A very large and angry drag queen opened the door of the vehicle and beat the shit out of my attempted rapist. She and her other drag friends helped dress and care for me while the police arrived. I was saved by a group of guardian drag queens. They were basically the modern day ‘angels from heaven.’
