So excited to sort through all my negatives
My boyfriend let me put this deer skull we found while up exploring the logging roads in his car. We had actually found it about three months prior, and happened to go up on a whim and see if it was still there and it was so I took a few pieces as a birthday gift to myself. Whoever was there before us seems to have taken the antlers off the poor lil guy.
Here is where I made my first cleaning flaw of using bleach to whiten and sanitize them. I mean it worked(sorta)... I didn't use a lot of bleach and let them sit over night and there's no arguing they certainly whitened up... However the bones feel rough and a little more fragile then they were. So I'll definitely be using the peroxide method next go 😬
My first skull, it's a rams skull bought from a local oddity shop.
It was also my first attempt at a light degreasing and small clean up as it had a little bit of skin and funk left on it. Particularly at the base of the head where it joined the neck.
