Sorry to worry anyone, I have an update.
Thank you to those that have been leaving asks and messages checking up on me. The past little bit has been…hectic to say the least.
You all know I’m a trucker. I drive 18 wheelers for a living. A couple of weeks ago I was hired to pull from Arizona to California as a route that would last about two weeks. January 7th, the wildfires started and it was fine at first. It wasn’t anywhere near where I needed to be. Then it got a lot bigger and people started evacuating and blocking the roads. My truck got stuck because people in front of us were abandoning their cars. Luckily, I was near where they started bulldozing and was able to get my truck out. My route was cancelled, obviously, so I had to make my way back home. Me and my partner ended up spending about four days ferrying a couple of evacuating families. In the mess, my iPad, my laptop, and my Switch got stolen. I don’t want to say it was from one of the families we helped, but it was around the time. I don’t blame them, though. They’d be needing all the money or happiness they can get. I wasn’t the one who lost my house.
As it is, I’ve now lost years of drawings and projects. Months of work. All of my fanart and the like. For now, until I can afford a new iPad after a few repairs to the truck, I will not be posting art. I may transition to doing little dribbles and ficlets for a bit, depending on how things go, but I do not see myself being the most active for a while.
I am sorry I was unable to keep up communication, but it was with reason.
So, for now, I am going to be taking a long hiatus. Thank you all for your interactions and I hope to be able to talk with you all soon!
