i have a coworker who’s really lovely and vibrant and sweet and smart and at a work event this past week she just openly told us that she uses copilot (windows AI) for everything. like she feeds every email into it. it’s a first step for EVERYTHING. she literally has become dependent on it. me and one of the others was like what do you even use it for and she said “everything!” like if she doesn’t “understand” something she has AI interpret it. mind you this is an attorney. a highly competent attorney. who’s now saying she can’t function without an AI doing the first step. it just made me so fucking sad and like it’s so stunning that people feel totally fine confessing that
