it was rare to find ravi without a pep in his step, that much was true, but something about good weather just always had him in a particularly good mood. the sun shining, kids out playing, the temperature finally nice enough that he could walk his dog without freezing his ass off, it was like the world was waking up. it was just nice to see so much positive energy — or maybe he was just a giant sentimental idiot. either way, he made sure to treasure every moment of walking hippo through the spring air.
at least, until his usually perfectly behaved pup pulled away to take off running through the grass. he took a brief moment to panic, before realizing it was simply because it was someone his dog recognized. jogging over, he shrugged with a bright grin. “ i’ll have you know hippo is a perfect gentlemen, just like his father, ” he said, with a brief jokingly stern look down at his pet. “ he’s just happy to see such a lovely lady on such a lovely day. as am i, i might add. how are the kiddos ? ”
Emerson laughed as she continued to scratch behind the dog’s ears. “Of course he is!” She cooed at the dog as she finally dropped her hands back to her sides. “I could never imagine you raising anything other than a perfect gentleman,” she ran a hand through her hair as she rose to her feet with a smile. She could have run into a worse person that day and she was genuinely glad to see a friendly face.
Emerson placed a hand over her heart in a dramatic fashion. “Oh well you really know how to pay a lady a compliment, don’t you? How do those nurses deal with you on a daily basis?” She laughed as she gave his shoulder a playful shove. “This kids are doing great! You know a few temper tantrums, but it’s nothing I can’t handle. What about you? How’s work?”
