Sneased to meet you! My name's Casimir Ginkgo, but I'd prefer if you referred to me as Casi when speaking to me outside of my work. He and she pronouns can be used for me interchangeably in Unovan, but professionally I tend to use she. I'm a professor—not the type you're thinking of—I don't do the whole giving kids first partner pokémon thing. Please do not ask me for free pokémon, as the sneasel I breed are intended for research and conservation.
There isn't a true purpose to me blogging here as this is a personal blog, but I'm happy to answer questions and discuss the work I'm passionate about. I've worked with not only the full sneasel evolutionary line, but many other closely related pokémon! In my free time I also study various myths and legends from different regions and collect replica pokeballs, but those are more of side hobbies.
Originally I'm from Celestic Town, a little town in central Sinnoh, and got most of my schooling traveling through the region. My final year I transferred to Uva-Naranja Academy in Paldea and completed my initial certification there. I worked in Paldea on and off for over a decade, with some traveling for research here and there, before settling back down on a small island outside of Canalave City. I speak Sinnohan, Unovan, Paldean, and some Kantonian. Though I've been told my Kantonian is pretty bad. I'm also quite capable of communicating through Unovan Sign Language.
I'm polyamorous, which means that I have several partners, including my wonderful husband Aracelis who helped me set up this blog. He does not have his own public blog and either posts through mine or sends anons with his name attached. My other partner is Professor Amaryllis, who unfortunately doesn't have a social media page either. Anywhere. Strange.
My husband and I have an adopted son who we've had since he was around 10 years old. He's graduated from school now and has a life of his own, but when he visits I will occasionally post about him under the name Pepper to preserve his privacy.
