It was almost relief that washed over him when Sunny sat down beside him. It had been a long time since Barrett felt like this where his ex wasn’t consuming his every thought and word. Sadness wasn’t even included in the list of emotions that were being felt when he let eyes trail from the glowing sunset to Sunny beside him, “Sunrise?” he chuckled softly, “I’ve definitely seen sunrises, but I don’t think I’ve woken up early enough to see one in a long time.” he had confessed with ease. He didn’t include the part where he couldn’t tolerate a sunrise because it was a beautiful – yet painful reminder of another day without his love. “Sunsets symbolize the end of the day, ya know? All your worries and troubles are being put to rest for now,” he shrugged as an attempt to save face and seem less weird from such description, “I like the idea that tomorrow will bring better days,” he shrugged once more.
looking over at the male, it was evident on how much he missed his deceased lover. if it wasn’t for the fact he showed up at her door because she looked like her, it was definitely this moment hinting it as well. offering a sympathetic smile as she shrugged her own shoulders, “well, that’s what sunrises are for. watching it go up and bring up all the bright colors. helping you decide on how you will live the day and decide whether or not you’ll take different chances.” a light hum fell from her lips as she then let her eyes wander back to the now purple skies. the night closing in to reveal a veil of stars that will soon appear before them. “how long ago did she pass? if you don’t mind answering of course.”
