Happy holidays everyone â„
This flowchart can explain to moderate left/progressive leaning folk why we must resist the temptation of being content with mere reforms/concessions, and must push to overthrow capitalism in itâs entirety.
Feel free to share, as itâs very dear to me that we all understand this.
I'm Delia Melody. My Partner Zeigha (Barbara) and I are Youtubers and trans rights activists rebuilding our lives following a year and a half of homelessness and violence which has ripped most of what each of us had from under us. Thank You.
As a Dutch person, I canât stop laughing about that comment xD
(yes thatâs Theresa May, she did that awkwardly low curtsy for Prince William)
Iâm noticing how a lot of the people here who are saying itâs wrong to punch Nazis are under 20. Is there a difference between millenials and generation Z in how much they know about the holocaust/WW2? Here in Europe, my class learnt in history class that you canât argue with Nazis.
He committed to how pissed off he was
I love how petty this is
I hope he brought the video to traffic court to contest the ticket lol
I love the poetry that this gifset ends with him running into a police car.
This is a tactic called Uncivil Obedience: where you follow the law so stringently that it exposes the injustice the law causes.
HOLY SHITÂ
@sunnyvaiprion
Take a closer look at that snout!
It is so much harder to watch The Office after realizing that literally every man on Reddit is Michael Scott
dare I ask for an explanation
I mean that stereotypical internet Reddit men are super privileged and say really offensive and awkward things, think they are funny, loudly defend themselves for being super funny, get supported by the Dwights of the world for being funny - but are actually just really awkward and everybody else is just Jim looking at the camera.
I guess my only addendum is that every man on Reddit is either Michael Scott or Dwight.
(obviously this doesnât describe everybody that uses Reddit. But if you look at the front page any given day, it is a significant enough portion to deserve its reputation.)
Can confirm, the stereotypical redditbro is horrid. I even prefer chanbros over them, because at least those are self-aware that theyâre being horrible.
Chanbro: *frantically shovels handfulls of feces into mouth*
Redditbro: *drinks feces in liquified form from a wine-glass, pinky extended*
Hey, warfighters! You like stories? You like magical realism? You like historical fiction with adventures and battles and swashbuckling derring-do?
You wanna read transgender narratives written by, for, and about transgender people?Â
Well then you need to be following The Graveyard of Empires! Listen:
The East Goths have dwelt in Cimmeria, on the northern shores of the Sunless Sea, ever since Daen came out of the north in the ancient days when Rome was young. But now, Rome has fallen, and the faith of the new God spreads across the face of the Earth, and even Attila is dead.Â
Alarica Roderikâs daughter is a woman trapped between two lives and two worlds. She is a wise-woman, a Changing One, who reads the stars and walks with the gods. But her world is changing, and even the Goths will change with it, and her kind are no longer held in high honor. Her gods have spoken to her, and told her that her lot is to travel into the east, into the East of East before the very Gates of Alexander, where a dying empire makes a last stand against the changing world, and that her fate lies with them in the Graveyard of Empires.
You can start reading here and if you feel like it you can be a pal and donate here. New chapters go up every two to three weeks; as of now (April 11th) we have a prologue and four chapters posted, which means weâre fast approaching the end of Book One, The Land of Horse And Bow.
People should read thisâŠ. I read the prologue and the first chapter and itâs incredibleâŠ. Just read it!!!

Just in case anyoneâs wondering, there is a (German) word for when you feel embarrassed on someone elseâs behalf:

This. Donât believe the anti-establishment rhetoric of right-wing âpopulistsâ.
In the 1970s, Ford was doing more than making cars â they were helping torture and kill leftists.
Capitalists prefer fascists and dictators over socialists.
One of my favorite German idioms is âIch verstehe nur Bahnhof,â which means âI donât get itâ or âthat doesnât make any sense,â but literally translates to, âI only understand the train station.â
But the best German idiom is, âDas ist mir Wurst,â which means âI donât care about that,â but which literally translates to, âTo me, that is sausage.âÂ
We also use that last one in Dutch! ^_^
âhet zal mij een worst wezenâ which means âit shall be a sausage to meâ
â ât zal mij een worst wezenâ usually we say this, rolls of the tongue quicker
âdat zal mij een worst wezenâ which means âthat shall be a sausage to meâ
I think it makes more sense if you make a non-literal translation to English, something like: âcould be a sausage for all I careâ
But yeah, Germanic languages are pretty silly/funny. Your appreciation of them always puts a smile on my face though!
