alright, things are getting settled. skimmer’s back and raring to go. this is looking good.
i’m leaving class now, so find me on mobile on obi-wan for the time being if you want to im me. i’ll be back online tomorrow afternoon at the latest.
“Yeauh! I’ll do my best!” She struck a triumphant post, then relaxed her composure with a laugh.
“That’s awesome man. I’m so glad.”
She misses being able to just show up and crash at his place and have movie nights.
“I assume you’ll be making regular house calls, again?”
He was teasing her, of course, but at the same time, he did miss their bonding. It had been such a long time since he’d gotten to settle in and spend some close time with Raptor.
“In fact, would you care for the grand tour, since we’re on the topic?”
⇝ || “I…Well, I like to plan ahead and be cautious. And..Delphi and a few other planets are snowy.”
He offered her a reassuring smile. One only Skimmer could manage, when convincing someone that being incomplete was perfectly fine.
“Don’t worry about me, Rev. I promise, I’ll be perfectly alright without the ability to transform. There are plenty of monoformers out there.”
She looked a bit bashful, but she was pleased as well.
“I ain’t done nothin’ intense yet, mostly just trainin’ and practice since I been outta it fer ages, but… aheh! Yeah!”
She clapped her hands together as he brought up his ship.
“Ohh, oh is it all back in tip-top shape? Anythin’ left ya need help with?”
“I look forward to being part of your cheering section, then. You’ll keep me updated, won’t you?”
A soft chuckle as her excitement mounted upon his mention of the Vector.
“It is, indeed. Sureshot was a massive help, while he stayed with me. Helped me get some of the more difficult systems online. All I need is to replace my medbay supplies and it’ll be like the incident never happened.”
Black Shadow’s engine rumbled happily. At least one of his friends wasn’t completely afraid of him… Of course Skimmer hadn’t exactly been around when the Bad Thing had happened to know to be afraid of him…
The phase sixer wasn’t going to ruin this moment by saying anything about what he did.
“I like to think my ridiculousness is one of my more charming qualities…”
Primus, Shady was warm.
It was nice.
Skimmer’s engine thrummed softly in content as he curled against the larger frame. Something about the phase sixer was like a curse, or perhaps a blessing. The medic seemed to always find himself sleepy whenever he was in such close proximity to him.
“Oh, I suppose you could consider it that. Your expert grasp of snuggling might be another.” He teased, reaching up to tap Black Shadow on the nose.
Tarn: (-✿-)
Megatron: *turns Autobot*
Tarn: (ʘ‿ʘ)ノ✿ "Hold my mask"
Skimmer: ✿＼(｡-_-｡) "Kick his ass, baby, I got yo mask"
⇝ || Cue a fervent shake of the head. “N-no, I just meant for all intents and purposes, you might need your alt. mode.”
“Alright, if you can logically tell me when a snowmobile alt would be useful, short of being stranded in the arctic with no communications for a second time in my life, I’ll consider it.”
“Oh, ups n’ downs, same old usual stuff, I think?”
She had to actually pause and think about what may have happened in the space of time that Skimmer had been absent.
“Um! I’m gettin’ back inta racin’. Slowly. Eventually.”
“Racing! Oh, Raptor, that’s wonderful to hear!” He offered her a warm smile, hands finding their way to his hips.
He recalled how enthusiastically Raptor had talked about racing, and her memories of being on the track. The thought of her getting back to it was heartwarming.
“I’m so glad. Oh! In my absence, I’ve completed repairs and upgrades to the Vector.”
“It means he’s betrayed me and everything we ever stood for,” Tarn said, voice tightening. “It means he must die in the most painful of ways. And I have to do it.”
He watched Snowskimmer closely.
Silence hung between them a moment, before crystal clear, frigid optics rose to meet Tarn’s gaze. Skimmer’s expression was calm, nonjudgmental. With a careful hand, he lifted the glass to his lips, relishing in the hot, heavy flavour.
Tarn always had the best taste.
“So, par for the course, then?” He offered the tank a lopsided smile as he placed the glass down once more. If Tarn had expected a more averse or distressed reaction, then he was in for a surprise.
Without a word he reaches out towards Skimmer and pulls him closer for a snuggle. The phase sixer sticks his tongue out in a teasing blep.
He goes to protest for only a moment, before going limp in Blackshadow’s arms, with a small sigh. He offers the much larger mech a mild smile, settling in to get comfortable.
“You’re just as ridiculous as always.”
影ー He tried to look passive for a moment, wearing his usual guarded and sedate expression, then found himself with an increasing grin until he finally started chuckling. “Oh, nothing. You just had me worried. I’m glad you’re back, Master Skimmy!” He put an arm around the shorter mech’s shoulders and laughed. It wasn’t funny, really, but the relief over seeing his friend again made him just a little giddy, he supposed.
His surprise wasn’t mild, certainly. Long ago, perhaps he would have pulled away from the physical contact, but now he subtly leaned into it, mutual trust warming the atmosphere between them.
“Worried? Oh, I apologize.” His expressions fell at the comment, but brightened slightly at the followup. “I’m glad to see you again.”
It wasn’t clear if it was because of his uncomfortable creaks and groaning, or just that she was too antsy to keep holding on, but she released him, stepping back to look him up and down several times, as if scanning a picture of him.
“It’s been orns, dude!! How ya been?”
A sigh of relief passed through him as he was released, (thank primus,) and Skimmer chuckled, folding his hands behind his back.
“I’ve been busy, especially lately. Otherwise, fine. And yourself, Rap?” His tone was almost uncharacteristically patient and kind, and his smile was warm. He’d missed her.
He was quiet for a long moment as he slid Skimmer’s drink to him and tipped his own glass back against his lips. He collected his thoughts as he drank.
He rested the glass on the table and sighed.
“Megatron is an Autobot.”
Handlebars raised in both surprise and mild interest as digits curled around the glass.
“An Autobot, hm? Well, that’s certainly an interesting development. What does that spell out for you?” He asked, swishing his glass slowly, watching the liquid inside move.
“Me? Cute?” He tilted his head like a confused puppy and chuckled, “You dare call the Great and Terrible Black Shadow … cute?” He teased.
“What’re you gonna do? Pick me up?” Cue the slow rise of a single handlebar.
“SkIMMYYYY, Skimmy skimmy SKIMMY!!”
She hugged and squeezed and twirled with him in her arms.

“It-it’s very nice to see you, too, Raptor!”
He’s quite sure that if she squeezes any tighter, he really will break something. His new frame is pretty, but it’s not durable.
Tarn headed over to his liquor cabinet and produced a decanter of shining blue engex and two glasses. He lead Skimmer over to the table and began pouring them each a drink.
“Things have been productive,” he said slowly as he poured. “But recent developments have been… Troubling.”
Crossing the room, Snowskimmer took a seat, daintily crossing one leg over the other. Servo rested casually on the surface of the table as he fixed his gaze on Tarn, pouring drinks.
“Troubling? How so?” He asked, resting his chin on his other servo.
“If you squeeze any harder, I’m gonna blow a vent!”
