All of the Bloody Roar games that I’ve played and finished. Still need to be done with the third one. I’d love to see this series to comeback…
Bloody Roar 4 - Nagi the Spurious:
“Finally, it’s time to talk about another iconic 3D fighting game. At first, I was planning to review the characters in every single game, but most of them appear in this one, also they barely have any changes in terms of moveset and gameplay. Also, this game has one of the biggest rosters of the franchise, so might as well review the characters available in here. I know by doing this that I will be skipping some characters, but I’ll probably talk about those in the future. Let’s start this reviews with the newest character of the franchise, Nagi. She may look like an edgy version of Kasumi from Dead or Alive, but that’s all the similarities she has (oh and the fact that both girls are very fast). Nagi is a great character to start with. I do like her design, and I’m a big fan of her transformation. She turns into this inhumane creature, with a blade in one of her arms. Such a great concept and fun gameplay.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Yugo the Wolf:
“Here’s someone who has appeared in every single game. Yugo is one of the protagonists in the game. I usually don’t care for characters like this, but I don’t mind Yugo at all. He has a really solid moveset, a cool transformation and a neat second outfit. His main one is quite boring. Also, he has such great attacks, specially that one where he bites the neck of his opponents…so brutal…I love it.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Bakuryu the Mole:
“Remember when this character used to be an old man? Yeah, back in the first game…good times. Bakuryu is the ninja of the game, and honestly…I don’t care much for him. I’m usually a big fan of ninjas, but this one is kinda meh. He’s fast and all of that, but I’m not a fan of his moveset and beast form.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Gado the Lion:
“Gado was the final boss of the second game, and after playing as him, it’s easy to see why. This dude is fast and very strong. Also, he’s a hell of a fun to play as. Great moveset, easy combos to execute and a badass beast form. I’d love to main in a future game.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Shenlong the Tiger:
“Shenlong shares the a similar moveset with another character, aka Long, but he’s able to standout more. Not only because of his unique moves, but also because of his personality and design. At one point, he was one of my mains. Nowadays, I don’t use him as much but I do still like him.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Stun the Insect:
“Here’s a very iconic character in the game. The first time I’ve played Bloody Roar, it was on a PS1 demo disc that I owned, back in the day. In that demo disc, it contained Bloody Roar 2, and there were two characters: Long & Stun the Insect. This guy has one of the most distinctive designs in the franchise. Also, you can say the same about his moveset. He has a lot of throws, so I’d assume he’s a grappler, although some of his throws are used for combos, and not for quick damage. I find him quite slow and challenging to get used to, but with some patient, you will see his potential.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Uriko the Cat:
“Here’s one of the more interesting characters in the roster. Uriko may look and play like your typical teenage girl, but she used to be the main villain in the first game. After the second game, she became a completely new character with a new moveset and design. You can still play as classic Uriko, by selecting the character "Uranus”. Either way, Uriko is quite a goofy character. She may not be one of my favorites but she’s stilll fun to play and mess around with.“

Bloody Roar 4 - Alice the Rabbit:
“Here’s another OG character in the game. Alice has appeared in every single game, and my opinion has always been the same…she’s ok. I don’t mind her at all. She has an alright fighting style, a cute transformation and she has a decent lore, specially in the first game. Overall, she doesn’t wow me or bother me.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Xion the Unborn:
“Here is the reason why I wanted to get into this game. Just look at his transformation. What a badass design. One of favorite designs in a videogame…I’m not kidding. I’ve been obsessed with it since I’ve found it. To make things even better: he’s one of the best characters in the game as well. He’s very strong and fast. I may not care for his human version, but his beast form is perfection.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Ryoho & Mana:
“Well, here is the final boss of the game, but in their regular form. Ryo & Mana are very important for the lore of this specific game, since they want to deal with an evil entity or whatever. Honestly, the story was so boring that I stopped caring after playing the arcade mode a bunch of times. Either way, Ryoho & Mana have an interesting gimmick. In this version, Ryoho can’t transform into a beast, but Mana can. She transforms into a precious little wolf, and she can attack anyone, while Ryoho stays behind, waiting to attack. I don’t hate this duo at all. Ryoho may be a very slow character, but he has some neat and very strong combos. Expect to see another post about Ryoho.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Busuzima the Chameleon:
“Now, we have a character from Bloody Roar 2. This dude is one of the few bad guys of the franchise. He’s a creepy scientist, with a hilarious fighting style and transformation. I used to hate him, but he has grown on me. He’s quite a goofy but fun character to play as.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Jenny the Bat:
“Now, we have our sexy bat girl. From what I’ve seen, Jenny is a fan favorite character and I can see why. She has some nice designs, a pretty neat transformations and a very solid moveset. She’s very fast and has some long and useful combos. She kind of reminds me of Sarah Bryan, from Virtua Fighter, because of their focus on leg attacks and long string of combos.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Long the Tiger:
“First unlockable character in the game, and it’s a classic one. He was the first character that I’ve ever tried, in this franchise. He reminds me a lot of Yun, from Street Fighter. The design is quite similar , they share similar moves and even their personality isn’t very different. Just like Yun, Long is one of my favorite characters in the franchise. He’s too much fun. Sadly, I am not a fan of his design. He looks so good in Bloody Roar 2, but sadly in most of the games, he’s rocking this classic design.”

Bloody Roar 4 - Shina the Leopard:
“Second unlockable character, and funny enough, it’s a character from Bloody Roar 2. Shina is one badass chick. She has a pretty neat design and one cool transformation. She has the strenght and the speed, so perfect a newbie like me. Love her.”
