That was the last sunrise I ever saw. Perhaps the kindest thing the dark gift has given me. // It was the last time I saw my brother. It was the last time I saw the sun. It was the only time I ever felt free.

Annie: There are legends of people born with the gift of making music so true, it can pierce the veil between life and death; conjuring spirits from the past...and the future. In ancient Ireland, they were called Filí. In Choctaw land, they called them Fire Keepers. And in West Africa, they were called Griots. This gift can bring healing to their communities. But it also...attracts evil....

Public speaking is actually really easy if you don't respect a single soul in that room. I've had an incredibly easy time delivering speeches when I hated everybody I saw and they all thought I did amazing because my disdain was read as confidence. I don't have any tips for you I'm just telling you a fact
I've experienced the opposite effect--speaking is incredibly easy for me when I know and respect everyone in the room. I've never give a more flawless report than when I'm giving it to my treatment team at work, because I know them, and I respect their opinions. I find it really hard to hide my disdain, which is why it could never be read as confidence, like the OP's can ;) Much like the OP I don't have any tips, I'm just giving an anecdote :)
