Also shoutout to Princess Anna Comnena one of the first known woman historians for sneaking into the archives at night to read the epics because her family thought they weren’t appropriate for women. Dedication.

I’m sorry for y’all’s nostalgia and everything but D'Aulaires book of Greek myths is godawful, like absolutely terrible levels of unforgivable badness.

Hmm, fascinating.

I've long wished that I could find a short-term hair dye that could be bought in one big tube that I could use whenever as needed, instead of one-time use boxes that cost just as much as the permanent dye boxes and always have more dye than I needed anyway. So I went to this store that usually has the kind of hair dyes that regular grocery never has, in hopes that there would be something like that.

And lo and behold, I found a HUGE tube of short-term hair dye that was exactly that way, to be used as needed whenever. And it only cost as much as the one-time use ones! So I got a tube, figuring that this is going to save me so much money in hair dye in the long run, because holy shit 30-50 hair dyes for the price of one!

Getting back home I needed to shower anyway because sweaty as hell because it's summer, so might as well get the hair dye on as well. As the tube came with no instructions save for a QR code to the website and I am too much of a caveman to figure out how those work, I just looked up the instructions from some other store's product description. That one said "leave in for 5 minutes or more depending on the desired intensity of the colour" so Ieft it on for 15. Worked like a dream.

But once I'd rinsed it off and my hair was finally dry, it turns out that the dye only stuck to the hair that had already been dyed before, leaving my roots their natural colour while the dyed part is now jet black. It's a fun look for now so I ain't even mad, but that's not what I intended, so I tried to see what I did wrong. Turns out that even though it was sold as a hair dye in that store in particular, most other places are calling it a "colour mask" or something of the sort.

So I guess that's something?

Do you have any advice for drawing tigers? I’m doing some studies right now, and while I haven’t moved on to fullbodies yet, I’ve done almost ten headshots so far and I just can’t get the facial features quite right no matter how hard I try. The muzzle is always a bit too small, the nose bridge too short, or the eyes to big. I think it would be easier to get those features down correctly if I had a better way of constructing the head, but I don’t know, I probably just need a bit more practice

Hello! You’re already doing a great job! I’m not sure where to start, so I’ll just write down how I usually draw them – or rather, how I’m used to thinking about them – and I hope it helps you!

I hope you don't mind if I demonstrate it on your drawing....

And I can already tell that you understand how perspective works, because your 3/4-view tiger drawings look really three-dimensional and amazing! So I won’t comment on them at all, because you already know what to do, haha! So, I think you just need to get the construction right and remember the proportions—that’s it! I don’t know how relevant my advice is—I mess up here a lot myself—but it is what it is, hahaha
