honestly, having flexibility in your headcanons is such an important skill to develop as a fandom participant. like, it's great to have strong opinions of your own, but don't you want to hear what strong opinions others hold? I am once again transposting on my art blog because it’s important to me <3

I do understand the impulse to post “conservatives want HIM in the women’s bathroom? [image of masculine trans man]” in response to bathroom bills, but also please consider what you are actually saying with that. People aren’t getting thrown out of bathrooms because creeps are peeking over the stalls and looking at their bits, they’re getting thrown out because of easily perceived traits like height, facial hair, clothing, and voice. In real life, it can be impossible to tell whether the person with facial hair in the women’s bathroom is a trans man or a woman with PCOS or otherwise intersex or a trans woman who doesn’t pass. I get that “you want HIM in the women’s bathroom?” refers specifically to the trans guy in the photo, but broadly it’s saying that anyone with masculine traits shouldn’t be in the women’s room which is…you know…exactly what conservatives are saying. You simply don’t know a stranger’s sex or gender just by looking (and it’s no one’s business). Everyone I mentioned above DOES get thrown out of the bathroom, we’ve seen it happen. Even cis perisex women get harassed for peeing while butch.

And all this is not even mentioning that conservatives’ goal ISN’T to put trans men in the women’s room and trans women in the men’s room. The goal is to make us unsafe and even illegal in public spaces, pushing us out of sight and eventually out of existence. They don’t want us in any bathrooms at all.

My point isn’t to say who should or shouldn’t be in which bathrooms, it’s just that we should all stop policing who we see in there and mind our own business. The ultimate solution is to have more gender neutral bathrooms, preferably doing away with gendered ones entirely.

brainrotting about your dnd character is soooo hard cuz you cant tell anyone else about it since they wont get it, and you cant tell the other players yet cuz their characters dont know these things, and you CANNOT tell your dm because theyre evil and sneaky and Will hurt you (/pos, as much as i pretend otherwise), so youre just STUCK thinking about your character rotating them in your head alllll day
