Started sewing at the temporary house! I need to figure out the lighting here… I am super happy with how these two came out both of them are made out of 3 socks and are larger than I normally make. I hope I have some more time to make more and get pictures

Sock monkeys are kind of a big deal in our household. Here’s our very own companion monkeys, Horace and Boris, as featured at the end of my husband’s Aaron’s comic, “Serenity Rose”. Those Hijinks brothers really get around!

Happy Caturday! This flower-eyed rainbow sock kitty was created waaaaay back in 2007 when I was working in Portland, Oregon - the rainy weather was especially good for weekends curled up on the couch making sock critters.
Here’s the thing about my sock critters: I don’t really sell them, ever. I get asked (or told) to a lot, but the reality is that they’re all individually hand-stitched with lots of time and love put into them, and I’d never be able to make a profit at the rate I work. Plus, it just feels wrong to me, somehow. It’s my policy to simply let them live with whatever awesome person they ask to be sent off with. This handsome mustachioed gentleman here rode the rails all the way to New Orleans to live with my dear old friend Tom!
