Introducing Character Drawcember!

This is a series of drawing prompts I designed for myself to get into a better rhythm of art production and also to think in depth about my characters. I’m posting this in case anyone else would like to work through the list too! :) I purposefully designed the workload to be relatively relaxed, since December is a busy month for a lot of people, myself included.

RULES: Use whatever of your own characters you want to use. You can stick to the same couple of characters or use all different ones. Any medium, and they don’t have to be consistent in style or technique. Basically there are no rules, just use this as a fun opportunity to work on your cast of characters. If you do decide to do this challenge, use the tag Character Drawcember!

WEEK ONE (Dec 1-7)

Sketch…

…a protagonist

…an antagonist

…an old character you don’t use anymore, and then redesign them.

Finish one of these into a full-color piece.

WEEK TWO (Dec 8-14)

Sketch…

…the inside of your character’s room.

…your character as a child, adult, and senior.

…an alternate universe version of one of your characters.

WEEK THREE (Dec 15-21)

Sketch…

…a big group shot of your characters.

WEEK FOUR (Dec 22-28)

…your character in someone else’s style (credit who you were inspired by!)

I’m super duper excited and partly nervous since this will be my first place?? Like I’ve never moved nor moved into an Apartment ever whereas my sister has, but like I’m beyond syked about having my own place now

Oh gosh no worries! I’m sure everything will go well, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you ^o^ if there’s anything I can do to help then just give me a shout d( ^w^! ) but yes being in your own space is totally different experience, it’s nice to do what you want to without having people in the way. (also tupperware is like a saviour, I always make enough food to have for next few days and once it’s cool, I put in the fridge).

I had to sign the lease again cause my sister never got around to signing her part, but so far it’s going super good?? Like around the 8-10th of July is when I’m supposed to be over there putting my stuff into the place and sign any final physical documents. But so far everything is going super duper smooth for us? Just– *finger guns* hell yeah!

And thank you so much again dear!! I’ll be sure to come to you if I have any moving or new place questions cause even though it’s my sister’s second time moving she probably doesn’t have a whole lot of leeway for answers since her first time was kind of chaotic.

I can get a whole bunch of tupperware from the dollar tree to the point I would know what I’m looking at because who knew doing inventory for them would be so dang helpful?? But ahhh!! This is very good to know!!

Ooh that’s so soon! and I’m glad that everything is going smoothly. Moving is stressful enough.

No worries! I had a lot of pointers from dad and just a lot of experimentation and seeing how it all goes really. (I didn’t realise how quickly bread and milk disappeared xD)

and oh gosh yes! I usually use one for lunch and then rest for leftovers (I ended up eating noodles in one as well lol) but yes they are super useful (especially for people with crazy schedules)

WHAT?! BBC

So since January I was in a BBC Radio 4 Listening Project, and this had it’s up and downs but I got an email today from my tutor and he said that BBC chose my short film along with 8 others out of 12! @O@ I’m so stunned and so happy!

Day 1: It’s like 30 celsius and I’m stuck on the third floor with shit windows

Day 2: It’s the same! 31C, I’ve been forced to place wet towels on my shoulders, my hands are still sweaty

Day 3: I’m so done with this. I’m getting stuck to my chair and it hurts.  

I started thinking that ‘cold’ water was ‘lukewarm’.
