when anyone in the gang is upset, two bit will lay on the floor with them and make them sing That’s Amore with him until they laugh
not to be fucking dramatic, but dallas winston would have those small, thick hoop earrings, you know the ones
I haven't posted on this blog in 10,000 years but if they ever remade "The Outsiders", the kid who played Baby John in "West Side Story" (2021), dir. Steven Spielberg would be the perfect Ponyboy.
THE OUTSIDERS: DALLAS & PONY Dally was grinning at me. “Kid, you scared the devil outa me the other day. I thought I’d killed you.” “Me?” I said, puzzled. “Why?” “When you jumped out of the church. I meant to hit you just hard enough to knock you down and put out the fire, but when you dropped like a ton of lead I thought I’d aimed too high and broke your neck.” He thought for a minute. “I’m glad I didn’t, though.” “I’ll bet,” I said with a grin. I’d never liked Dally—but then, for the first time, I felt like he was my buddy. And all because he was glad he hadn’t killed me.
I’ve been thinking about it, and that poem, that guy that wrote it. He meant you’re gold when you’re a kid. Like green. When you’re a kid everything’s new. Dawn. Like the way you dig sunsets, Pony. That’s gold. Keep it that way, it’s a good way to be. I want you to ask Dally to look at one, I don’t think he’s ever seen a sunset. There’s still lots of good in the world.
The Outsiders (1983) dir. Francis Ford Coppola
“Steven” by Senses Fail was written for Steve Randle.
still true
STEVEPOP FLUFF LIKE SODA SCARED OF THUNDERSTORMS YEAH please??❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sodapop Curtis, in all of his beautiful glory, lay terribly awake in his bed. Below him, he could feel the Earth quaking, shaking from the destructive thunderstorm that loomed right above him. He could feel a tightness in his chest, one that was constricting him.
Right next to him was a warmth that burned like the sun. He reached his cold fingers out to touch it, and found himself grabbing a hand. Steve.
The boy next to him turned over and pulled Sodapop into him. Even now that he was restrained, he felt as if it was easier to breathe.
“Lay with me,” Steve exhaled. And Soda did, all the while slowly falling asleep to the thought of how he was in love, and how this boy holding him made it feel as if the Earth was quaking.
“I’ve been thinking about it, and that poem, that guy that wrote it, he meant you’re gold when you’re a kid, like green. When you’re a kid everything’s new, dawn. It’s just when you get used to everything that it’s day. Like the way you dig sunsets, Pony. That’s gold. Keep that way, it’s a good way to be.”
If he was smart, like me, he wouldn’t have been in this mess. If he was smart, like me, he wouldn’t have ran in that church, man. You better wise up, Pony.
“It’s not money, it’s feeling—you don’t feel anything and we feel too violently.” The Outsiders.
Sodapop: Darry, give me a milk. Chocolate.
I made an outsiders quiz for which scene you are
