semi-unrelated to this drawing (bc i mean. clearly something serious happened here...) but i headcanon that sofia mostly tries to stop crying when she moves to the castle because she doesn't know how to cry in a "princess-like" way like amber does. they're BOTH doing some good old fashioned emotional repression

...and then amber would try to teach her how to princess-cry, but it turns into an ugly crying session for the both of them and they scare the hell out of baileywick when he checks on them lol

I have become obsessed with Disney's Masquerade doll line and couldn't help but be inspired to make my vision of how Sofia and Cedric would look.

I had so much fun designing them. I can definitely see myself revisiting these designs for a full piece. I love how they turned out. <3

bro im actually so proud of this one it's my pride and joy. i rlly liked drawing the lil robe thing and the colors in my refs were a bit mixed and mungled (im assuming there was like an anti-ai filter put on top?) but i took that as a chance for ✨creative liberties✨ and pulled out some texture brushes I had lying around in my Krita app to make some baller fabric (it sorta reminded me of a kimono so that's what i went for)

i liked the staff thing. i could swearrrrr it resembles the wishing well guy so I kinda took some more ✨creative liberties✨ on the face for the staff. yellow/gold is such a based color for powerful staffs im being fr

It has been a long time since I've made an AU and seeing that BoM Cedric is getting so much love makes me excited! Let me introduce you to my Cedric "Born of Magic" AU!

I wanted to explore a Universe, in which Cedric decides not to take his fathers place as the royal Sorcerer of Enchancia.

After his graduation, he sets out into other realms to find out what he wants and still tries to prove his worth.

Things are set into motion after a fateful meeting that puts a curse onto him, that he now needs to get rid of.

You can find a "hint" regarding that fateful meeting in this post.

Cedric is in his early 20's here. I'll be exploring his relationship with magic, the curse and his adventures along the way.

I've got some story ideas already brewing, so if you're interested, feel free to tag along and have fun exploring what could have been.
