One of my favorite quote, I read it the book Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman. I adore Neil Gaimens books, this quote really resonates with me as an avid reader who was into books since I can remember.

I’ve read the first part of this series, This Savage Song not so long ago, and liked it a lot and I’m generally not into dystopian YA. I enjoyed getting to know the characters separately in the beginning, and then witnessing how they met and slowly started to like each other.   I was sympathizing more with August, and hoping that Kate won’t figure it out that he’s a Sunai or at least that she takes it well. Now after a bit of a break, meanwhile I read The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee, which is also quite an entertaining book I’m back to Verity and the August&Kate duo. I barely started the book, but so far it mirrors the first one, with our 2 main characters being apart. We see Kate who found her monster-hunting squad in Prosperity and August, who has stayed in Verity, and took over Leo’s place at FTF. The son of a bitch Sloan is also alive and plotting against our heroes with a new monster at his side. We’ll see how it goes forward... I’m quite unsure how all this is going to end.

Florence Gordon by Brian Morton (I just started reading review)

I’ve just stumbled upon this book on Goodreads, as usual, and it sounded good. The main character is Florence Gordon, an older woman, who decides to write her memoir, which is something I would also like to do someday. She’s not your typical nice, warm, grandma type woman, but a stubborn, rather eccentric lady. Just in the begging of the book, her friends and family is throwing her a surprise birthday party (not on her birthday because that would have been too obvious) and she’s like, no, I was just in the mood to write, so thank you, but I’m going home. The story is also about 2 other women in the family, her daughter in law, Janice and her granddaughter Emily. We get to know Florence through their eyes and also about their life. So far I like Emily the best, maybe because she’s the closest to me in age, I don’t feel myself so close to Florence or Janice. Obviously there are male characters as well, for example Florence’s son, Daniel, but he hasn’t played a big part in the book so far. Just as his father, the ex-husband of Florence, Saul, who only was mentioned, but hasn’t appeared in person yet. 

I’m 30% done with the book, I will post a final review when I’m finished with the book.
