Turning your shower into a more spiritual experience can be a wonderful way to start or end your day with mindfulness and tranquility.
Here are some ways to make your shower more spiritual:
1. Set an intention: Before stepping into the shower, set a positive intention for your experience. This could be to wash away stress, find clarity, or simply be present in the moment.
2. Use aromatherapy: Incorporate essential oils or scented shower products with calming or spiritually uplifting scents, such as lavender, eucalyptus, or frankincense.
3. Practice mindfulness: Focus on the sensations of the water and the sound of it falling. Be fully present in the moment, letting go of distractions and worries.
4. Meditate: Consider using your shower time for a short meditation. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and clear your mind as you feel the water cleanse your body and spirit.
5. Visualisation: Visualize the water washing away negative energy or stress, leaving you refreshed and renewed.
6. Affirmations: Recite positive affirmations or mantras while in the shower to promote a sense of inner peace and self-empowerment.
7. Gratitude: Express gratitude for the water, which is essential for life, and for the cleansing and rejuvenating effects of your shower.
8. Gentle movement: Incorporate gentle stretches or movements to promote physical and spiritual well-being while the water flows over you.
9. Sacred symbols: Consider placing meaningful symbols or objects in your bathroom to create a sacred atmosphere.
10. Music or chanting: Play soothing music or chant softly to enhance the spiritual ambiance and promote relaxation.
Remember that the key is to create a personalized experience that resonates with your spiritual beliefs and intentions.
Experiment with these suggestions to find what works best for you and adds a spiritual dimension to your shower routine.
1. Meditate with a real shell, just hold it and examine it until you go into a trance if you want! Connect to the water spirits that are still attached to the shell. I like a good scallop shell but any shell will do
2. Drink lots of water. Make sure you have a good supply of water close enough to your bed to where you only have to sit up to drink it (charge it with whatever intent you wish).
3. Do scrying with a sealed clear glass jar of water. It can even have some sand swirling around in it if that helps you scry.
4. Mist yourself with rain water you’ve collected and put into a spray bottle. You can even add a drop of lavender or lemon essential oil to spice it up!
5. Watch videos of different bodies of water on your device. This is super easy to do from bed and it’s ok if you fall asleep!
6. Speaking of falling asleep, you can sleep with a Pearl bracelet or a crystal that corresponds to the water element under your pillow, so even when you snooze you connect to water.
7. Watch documentaries of different aquatic creatures in their natural habitats. (I avoid ocean ones due to my fear of sharks but that’s just a personal preference).
8. Sleep under a blue blanket for color magic!
9. Lucid dream of you can! You can visit a water source that way from your very own bed!
10. Pray to a water god or goddess or spirit of your choosing if that fits your practice.
Let’s talk about working with the Water Element; divination, magical waters, workings and cultivating a relationship with it and its spirits.
🎶Sharing my experiences and thoughts, don’t rely on just this make your own experiences and thoughts.🎶
How do I grow my relationship with Water itself?
Begin opening yourself up to it more and incorporating it into your daily life. When I began building my relationship with it this is what I did:
To be done over a months period
Washed my hands & face with cold water when waking up and letting them air dry as much as possible.
Brushing out my hair and braiding it, picturing my hair flowing like a river with every movement of my fingers.
Beginning my day by intentionally drinking a glass of water, sitting down to really appreciate it and how it aides your body. I like cold water because you can easier feel it flow through you, I also like charging it beforehand.
Visit as many water sources as possible during this period. I am lucky enough to live by the pacific ocean and I would go and swim in it everyday to cultivate my relationship. However, if that is inaccessible for you there’s options such as sitting by a public pool, taking a bath, standing in the rain, eating your lunch by a river, etc.
While you’re spending time with water just talk to it. Tell it stories, sing it songs, ask it questions, water is living and it longs for a connection.
Record your progress throughout the month either in written journal entries, scrapbooking, or digital trackers. Just have a way for you to look back at how you’ve changed during this period.

What can I benefit from working with water?
Regardless on where you are from, what path of life you are following or anything else we are connected by our need for water. It is not only our connection to other humans but our connection to the natural world as well. It makes up 3/4 of our planet and 60% of your body. You can get a better understanding of yourself just by going back to that fundamental need to sustain yourself with water as a life-force. The element itself is well known to be a very introspective force and most spirits representing or associated are similar (spg). When you are inviting it into your home you are inviting that connection and energy in too.
Water takes life without discrimination, just as it gives life. Working within that provides a confidence and at least in my experience a sense of balance within ones self. If you are feeling like you are being tossed by the path of life, as if you are a lone ship at a storming sea, this might be your sign to stop fighting the current and start moving with it. If you can make the waves move at your asking then what is there to stop you.

Hydromancy
hy·dro·man·cy /ˈhīdrəˌmansē/
noun
divination by means of signs derived from the appearance of water and its movement.
Some argue this is the first form of scrying Hydromancy is a very useful tool. It can be done with natural bodies of water, or things like tubs, cups and bowls. It can be frustrating to begin so this is how I would begin if I were you:
(works better with an established connection to water)
Go somewhere quiet and still, I prefer outside at night but do what is safe and comfortable for you.
Prepare your space and yourself however you normally would set the tone for a divination reading. Some choose to say a blessing prayer, drink a divination tea blend, or anoint themselves with particular salve or oil. I will usually ritually prepare myself (let me know if you want me to go more into this).
In a shallow dark colored bowl (or scrying bowl), pour your preferred water of choice. I usually go with waning moon water.
Relax and begin to gaze into the water. Let yourself open up to messages. Sometimes it comes as scenes of images, or a shape or even words that can come through.
Write down anything you receive to interpret later on.
If you are struggling try this ritual but use the light of a candle or the moon to interpret those shapes. Or meditate with the bowl and pour it out onto the ground and scry the shape it leaves behind.
✦ Brigid (keening mother & keeper of the sacred well)
✦ Boann (river personification)
✦ Aengus (The Young Son)
✦ Lir (sea personification)
✦ Manannán mac Lir (son of the sea)
Why nine? Because it's the sacred number of my path. In my experience, for people like us who need a certain amount of spiritual practice in their lives, feeling close to nature does wonders for the mood. And I know this is easier said than done, which is why I wanted to share a few personal tips, all related to some extent to self care. After all, I feel like we underestimate the tight link between mental health and this feeling of “closeness” with the earth.
Find the sacred in plants, or animals you've always been drawn to. How can you explain this particular connection you feel? Your intuition often reveals truth.
Collect what you see, and don't be afraid to hoard trinkets like treasure. Cool rock, cool stick, cute acorn, fragrant flower, fallen branch... Whatever tickles your fancy.
Go out of your way to enjoy what every season has to offer. Garden in the summer, or chill at the park, carve a pumpkin during the autumn, make hot cocoa during the winter... Find ways to be cozy in every weather!
Look out the window. Do it as often as you can. Look at the sky, observe how windy it is, how bright the sun is, how thick the clouds are!
Give names to the natural elements around you. Simply calling a tree, plant or animal by the name of its species does the trick: names are powerful, and they show that you acknowledge the spirit that resides in everything that lives.
Learn the stories, as many as you can. Anything folklore related to your area! Folklore hides a great deal of generational wisdom and beliefs, and it reveals such a powerful connection between the people and the land.
Cook with fresh ingredients. No need to grow your own everything, or raise your own chickens, or adopt other such backyard farming activities. Simply by making meals out of fresh, local products as often as you can, you might feel as one with the land thanks to which you are fed.
Stop feeling silly when indulging in aesthetics. Make that Pinterest board filled with pictures of flowers! Listen to that song that makes you feel like a woodland fairy! Put on that long, flowy skirt, or that cardigan with knit mushrooms on it! Through these seemingly trivial little joys, we may experience a connection with ourselves that's crucial to feeling close to our mother earth.
Use your hands: craft artsy projects if you can, dig your fingers in the earth, and brush the bark of trees! You body is your best tool when it comes to feeling grounded. It's always the part of yourself that's closest to earth. To use it is to honor it, and to care for it is to care for yourself.
If you reside in the Northern hemisphere, have a great spring season! Hail the King of the Elves and the spirits of the land 💛

Veganism is a justice movement for animal rights and a philosophy. Not a diet.
“Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.” - The Official Vegan Society founded in 1944 who also coined the word vegan.
Broke: I can’t go vegan therefore veganism sucks and I’m going to use this as an excuse to not think critically of my own consumption habits. I will now dedicate my free time into derailing any vegan conversations, refusing to share resources/information/blogs from vegans in marginalized communities, ultimately contributing to its inaccessibility.
Woke: I don’t think I can stop eating meat/cut xyz animal product from my life because of [health/financial/geographial] reasons. I’m going to advocate for veganism to be more accessible to people like me and ask around for resources to help me reduce my dependence on animal products in ways that are possible and practiceable for me. I’ll educate myself and fight for the cause in my own way like trying to persuade people in a more stable position in life to go vegan.
sokka probably comes off as really religious because i know in my heart that he talks to yue the moon goddess all the time. like he’ll be walking down the street and see some bullshit and say Are You Seeing This, Yue? and sometimes the moon almost seems to answer and everyone is like. oh okay. this must be a water tribe thing. and katara has to tell everyone no sokka is just like that
This is very scary and concerning for black people. AGAIN DEHUMANIZING BLACK PEOPLE
Boack people health conditions aren't taken seriously compared to others. Many black people are scared to go to the hospital for this reason
Black women are 4x likely to die from complications of childbirth than white women in the United states.they've had experience that has unacceptably poor maternal health outcomes
If anyone feels like they can't trust the information here cause "it's just a tiktok", John Oliver and team did a piece on this where they repeat everything she says.
Post canon Toph who doesn’t want to go back to her shitty parents so she just decides to stay in the Fire Nation and bum off Zuko’s hospitality.
Zuko’s like no, yeah, I totally get it, and just makes her one of his advisors. At first it’s just so she has a good excuse to stay but after the first meeting Toph storms out shouting about how EVERYONE was lying why would you even need to lie about what kind of tea you want??
Zuko: I mean they’re politicians.....but also who, and when, and in what way
They make a subtle Morse code system so Toph can warn him when someone is lying to him without tipping anyone off that she can sense lies.
Zuko gets a reputation for somehow being both extremely socially inept and yet somehow disgustingly perceptive?? You can’t get ANYTHING by him???
#my lord what EXACTLY is ms Beifongs role in these meetings #a nervous nobleman asks after the third time she interrupts them with stupid commentary #zuko with perfect deadpan: she’s my scribe
I’ve been watching Good Omens for ’ll of about ten minutes and I have to say, I do like the poetry between hell’s most angelic demon and heaven’s most demonic angel coexisting
Through watching the rest of the show I went from “worst demon and worst angel- a demon that is too kind and an angel that is too hedonistic”, to “best demon and best angel- a demon so rebellious he can’t even cooperate with the rebellion and an angel so angelic he was ordered to love humanity and now refuses to stop”, and having finished, now, I’ve found myself resting on “two beings who are in fact very very human and love each other very much”
i don’t use this word lightly but diet talk is ableist in addition to being fatphobic. somewhere around 75% of women struggle with disordered eating, and among them are people whose disorders will eventually kill them. eating disorders are the deadliest mental illnesses and there are many more of us in your life than you imagine–at work, in your family, at school, in social circles, in churches, mosques, & synagogues. i won’t make a comparison to talking about [x] around [y mental illness] and how people wouldn’t do that, bc they definitely would, but this is my area so i’m calling diet talk what it is: violence
