I will not be taking requests.

I may post the occasional drabble, short scenario, or the like which will be gender neutral, as I view Eddie as being attracted to all gender identities, but all of my writing is primarily for my own enjoyment. As such, please be aware that my lengthier fics and much of the content on this blog will lean towards fem afab reader inserts.

Updates will probably be sporadic. I work long hours and only have so much time/energy, unfortunately, for my hobbies, including writing.

And now to once again fight the post versus tags battle that comes after a long time of inactivity.

Spending Halloween with Eddie at his trailer.

Declining to head out with his box of tricks in hand despite the night being rife with mischief and revelry, avoiding the possibility of the Hawkins PD ruining the evening when they're so alert on All Hallows Eve.

Sitting beneath the awning of the trailer porch, sharing kisses and laughs in the chilly air, with a clumsily carved pumpkin alit near your feet.

Staying there in Forest Hills for the ragtag group of trick or treating kids in the trailer park whose guardians couldn't drive them to a 'nicer' neighborhood for candy.

Little ones in cobbled-together costumes stopping for a generous handful of sweet treats, but more importantly for the resident metalhead's ghost stories.

Eddie, theatric as he so often is, pitching his voice low and ominous, cackling and looming across the porch like its the stage to his very own creep show, delighting in the rapt attention of the youngsters who get a thrill from his animated storytelling.

Giggles fading into the night after the gaggle of kids run off, seeking more sweets while Eddie tries his best to kiss you with fake, plastic vampire teeth ready to pop out of his mouth.

Low-key and far from actually scary, but one of the best Halloweens you'd ever experienced thanks to him.

The fact that my little fanfic is still getting new readers, tags, comments, and asks means the absolute world to me. It helps so much knowing that there will still be an audience for my story despite how long it's been since I was last able to update.

I promise you all that I am in no way, shape, or form planning on abandoning Eddie and Reader's love story. Life hasn't been kind for a while and my health, both mental and physical, has been a mess for a long while. It's had the most frustratingly painful impact on my writing, but even through it I've not lost a single bit of my love for Take On Me or the desire to see it through to the end.

I appreciate how patient you all are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for still sticking with, loving, reading, and re-reading my fic. It means so much.

I definitely intend to finish it! I've been having to take a long time away from writing, but I have zero desire to give up on Take Me On. Even if it takes me ages, my plan is to get it finished.

What are your favorite Eddie’s from AU’s?!

These are just some of my faves off the top of my head, in no particular order

Eddie in Take on Me by @softmetalhead - it’s a non-vecna AU and it is SUCH a beautifully written story, it’s ongoing but I re-read it every so often. I can’t say enough about how much I adore it, the way his relationship naturally progresses with reader, the sexual tension and intimacy, there’s so much to it and I wish I had a physical copy of it.

All of the AU’s from @oneforthemunny give me extra serotonin, however Janitor!eddie in particular has my body, mind, and soul. Like…he is perfect in every way and I will fight for him.

@carolmunson has so many amazing works, I can’t choose one, but I especially love Older!eddie in Orange Colored Sky, as well her Steddieverse and sadist!eddie AU’s. I get so sucked into her writing, and the way she portrays each Eddie makes me melt. Even when it’s a meaner Eddie 😂

Dad!eddie from her Pennyverse works by @queenimmadolla I’m obsessed, I love them so much and like the others I tend to re-read them often. SO. GOOD.!!

@harrywavycurly has a Princess & Eddie AU, and it just gets me. I absolutely adore them!! He is very protective of her and fiercely loyal, it’s just does it for me.

Of course I can’t say enough about mechanic!eddie in The Yes Policy by @pinkrelish. Anyone who’s reading it already knows how absolutely stunning it is 🥹 another one I wish I had a physical copy of 😭
