People always like to point out the bruise on Billy's cheek in episode 8/9 I forget with one but it's his final shot in the series but think we should have a look at his collar:

One side is pulled up while the other is neatly in place. That should be a clear indicator to anybody that Neil had just punch Billy in the face. It's a small attention to detail that works really well and I like to imagine Dacre actually pulling his collar up like that at the last minute further fleshing out Billy's character.
