After Camp update

Thank y'all for all of the prayers! We came back to Split yesterday afternoon. Today we got to have a pretty eventful and yet relaxing debrief with John and Mladden and the Bieber clan. We are spending some time with the students tonight at their youth group and tomorrow after church. We have been able to connect with them and have really good conversations both about God and our lives. Will update more soon! -Ange

Camp going well!

Especially considering this is the first time one of these English camps has been held for split, Croatia, things are going really well! No major injuries, students have been connecting with our team and each other, and the good news of Jesus is being spread. We've completed our team's late night activity, America Night. While it wasn't perfect, it was lots of fun and gave students a great shared experience to help build trust and connection with each other. Tonight we watched the Croatia v Spain soccer game and with Croatia's win they are a step closer to the eurocup. Needless to say, they are pretty excited. Please be praying for our team as we have conversations with the students we've been getting to know this week. Many students go to church and consider themselves Christians, but need to be challenged and encouraged as they have very few Christian peers. Please also be praying for John, the camp speaker, as he presents the good news about Jesus. Thanks you all so. Much for your prayers and support. We have definitely seen God at work at camp and know your prayers are a huge part of that.

We made it to camp!

We're finally here! Yesterday afternoon after church we met the students, loaded up 3 vans, and drove up north to camp. The van ride provided several hours to start to get to know the students and begin building relationships. Last might we had our first teaching from John, the missionary, and met in our discussion groups for the first time as well. We then played a nice fun game of Bunko! It was a fun start to camp. Its raining really hard and has been sick we got here, but Google tells me it will clear up after this week. Please be praying for us as we begin our first newish classes today. Students are here to improve their English, so we want to do a good job with our classes. It's also how we earn credibility to be able to have the deeper conversations later in the week. Ashley, Jill, and Ryan are the class teachers and others on the team are helping/supporting in those classes. Thanks for your support!

It's our whole team!

With Tyler's arrival this afternoon, our whole team is finally here! We have been going through cultural and camp orientation today, including get a walking tour of the city, hearing about its history. After church tomorrow morning we will begin the almost 4 hour drive up to camp. Please be praying for open hearts, opportunities to tangibly love the students, and that we'd have wisdom in how to shape this first camp!

We’ve got only 4 MORE DAYS until we leave for Split, Croatia! Shoutout to Sola Bothell for our blessed send off! We cannot wait for this journey ahead of us.
