Asteroid Uglia
Quentin Matsys - A Grotesque old woman, 1513.
It's maybe a little silly, it maybe a little bit embarrassing, but it's still Astrology.
Welcome to the horrible world of asteroid 318794, or Uglia: named actually after the Ukrainian Humanities Lyceum (UGL in Ukrainian).
This s what I found from the charts where Uglia is prominent, i.e. tightly conjunct a planet:
People with Uglia conjunct Jupiter often get positive results from being ugly. There are two celebrities I've found who have a really tight conjunction of Uglia and Jupiter in their 9th harmonic, and when I looked at them I realized: "Yeah, they're kind of ugly." And since it's the 9th harmonic, it's not really that apparent, but when I thought about it, it was how they looked that helped make them who they are, and was PART of their success.
But this "ugliness" is mostly having a face, or rather head, that isn't symmetrical. And often there's a certain dose of MASCULINITY that comes with that. A kind of oafish beauty, and an animalistic charisma.
Asteroid Uglia can mean not only physical ugliness, but a situation that's ugly. Especially if it's activated in Synastry. People who have asteroid Uglia conjunct your personal planets or points can maybe seem viscerally ugly to you. Or maybe you have ugly interactions with them.
I've also found a pretty famous singer with Mars conjunct Uglia, and Mars represents TEETH. And when I looked I saw: "Yeah, this lady DOES kind of have ugly teeth." Mars in Vedic astrology can represent best friends, so yeah, when I looked, her best friend was kind of... ugly.
I just want to say, at the end - I'm sorry to all the people who will find this asteroid in their chart. Sometimes it's best to let sleeping dogs lie!
P.S.
If you have a prominent Uglia in your chart, or maybe find something that disagrees with this reading in other peoples charts, please, leave a comment about it! Because this asteroid probably needs some decent research to find out its true meaning.
*
Uglia conjunct Sun - You have an ugly father, you gain recognition for being ugly, your ugliness makes you famous.
Uglia conjunct Moon - You have an ugly mom. Sorry.
Uglia conjunct Mercury - You were an ugly kid. sometimes when you talk, it can turn out - ugly.
Uglia conjunct Venus - Your art is ugly. You like ugly people, and ugly women. You have a taste for the ugly (i.e. bad taste) You have an ugly car (Vedic).
Uglia conjunct Mars - You're attracted to ugly men, when you have sex, it's UGLY. When you fight with people, it quickly turns UGLY. You have an ugly brother.
Uglia conjunct Jupiter - Your ugliness helps you: people just LOVE how weird and ugly you are.
Uglia conjunct Saturn - You are blocked by ugly people, your ugliness is an obstacle in your life, you become ugly as you get older. Old people are just ugly to you.
12th house Syndrome - Cancer
John Ogburn, Still life
The 12th House represents the subconscious, its when we go where we sleep, and also it's the house that was rising when our mother was in labor. There's something paradoxical about the 12th house, especially when we look at it from the Sun sign and the Sun sign chart - the chart we get when we put the Sun in the ascendant.
For instance, Cancers have Gemini ruling their 12th house. Isn't that weird?
People accuse Gemini of being two-faced, but there's something three-faced about Cancers: it's like they're always having some kind of conversation inside their head. Their subconscious can hold two people at once.
If the 12th house in large part represents what we repress, then it all becomes sort of clear: Cancer is what happens when we repress the Gemini part of our chart. But this only makes sense if we realize that what we repress, we integrate into ourselves, and often to a much larger degree.
Inside every Cancer there is a kind of double monologue happening; that's why it can feel like they already talked to you INSIDE THEIR HEAD, when you go out and meet them, and their silence can be kind of - wordy. Cancer is what happens when the energies of Gemini, the ultimate desire for communication, run into the truth that nothing can last forever.
This explains a lot of things about Cancer - how moveable they are, how light and breezy, despite everything, they can feel to hang around with. When I first started doing astrology, I was surprised how active a lot of the Cancer suns I knew were: even when they didn't want to leave the house, they still had big friend groups, and they were often up for, if not anything, then a lot.
It's like, behind the emotion, behind the shell, they are here, fundamentally, just to have fun. And the problem of fun, the problem of who gets hurt, and who gets heard, is a Gemini - Cancer problem. A lot of their bluster and their toughness is secretly based on a Gemini trait - not being serious. Or rather - being to too involved, too communicative, to intertwined with other people. Behind every Cancer there's a biting, sarcastic little Gemini, grinning, just waiting for you to make a mistake.
This is the Crab's trait of having claws, which is based on the fact that their subconscious is quick witted. A Cancer sun's Id is always on the move, always chattering and chirping, like a Gemini. This is why they have to move towards the essence of cardinal water, which is emotion, which is actually caring for other people (which Cancer people often do instinctually, without truly contemplating how to do it) to escape the abyss of endless, false communication.
Two birds, inseparable friends, cling to the same tree. One of them eats the sweet fruit, the other looks on without eating. On the same tree man sits grieving, drowned (in sorrow), bewildered, feeling helpless, But when he sees the other lord content, knows his glory, his grief passes away. Mundaka Upanishad
Are we all living a Neptunian, 12th House life???
Uranus vs. Neptune as rulers of our modern world
In Vedic astrology, Rahu - ie. the North node of the moon, i.e. the head of the Dragon, represents electronics, new tech, vs. old tech of preindustrial civilizations. So for a Vedic astrologer all of us are today under the influence of Rahu/the North node, unlike people living in the past.
But are we also living under Neptune? The 20th century was the time of the victory of Neptune: the time of Hollywood and movies. Are we now leaving that age, or are we even deeper in Neptunes grip then we could possibly imagine?
People put the internet either in the 11th, or the 3d house. Maybe it is, at the level of connection. The 11th house represents large groups of people, our wishes and desires. And certainly there is something objective and Uranian about social media. Or at least, there was, for a time. But at the end of the day, isn't a video still - just an illusion? It shows us things which don't exist anymore like they are still here. On the internet we engage in psyops. Everyone is gaslighting.
If we don't live a neptunian life, then maybe we do live a 12th house life. Our homes are now our monasteries, our places of isolation. We don't go out. The 4th house, it seems, has been infected by the 12th.
And isn't there something super big about the 12th house? So big, only IT can hold all of the crap you find online? It represents dreams themselves. And when you're scrolling Youtube, or watching endless Instagram posts, aren't you inside a kind of soup of disjointed images that can be best described as... Neptune? As the 12th house.
Isn't Neptune the ruler of - misinformation?
When we fight online, aren't we fighting mostly people we believe are our hidden enemies?
Moon In Pisces
The Sea at Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, 1888. Van Gogh
In Pisces, the Moon is free to wander. Since it's by its nature a wanderer, and it RULES the tides, when it's in the sign of vast oceans, it feels a certain giddiness. The waxing and waning nature of the Ocean makes the moon only partially more volatile: the endless waters of Pisces absorb the more angry and crabby and CARDINAL energies of Cancer. This makes Pisces Moons natural pacifists, if not in deed then in temperament.
Because Cancer is the 5th sign from Pisces, these people have an eternal romantic, even sexual glow to them. The themes of the 5th house are brought into the 1st house of the Moon Chart. Pisces is the sign that makes Cancer, the sign of emotion and the mother, the ruler of the house of children. It's almost like their children have to mother them.
There's something sensitive about this placement: because originality, the Fifth house is ruled by Leo, having Cancer there means that Pisces moons have a defensive, lunar posture, where originally there should be your average Leo warmth and showmanship. It's a sultry placement, that brings themes of romance and sex into the emotional makeup of anyone that has it. The emotions are romanticized, even sexualized. In their love and sexual life they are aware of their shell, and
Because Scorpio rules the 9th house, which is next to the 7th, the house of marriage, Pisces moons bring Scorpionic sexuality into the image of their marriage. They have a psycho-sexual relationship towards higher philosophy. They're emotional belief system is based on sex and depth, secrets and the occult.
Taurus rules the 3d house of the Moon chart. A Pisces Moon feels best when communicating, when moving. Being dynamic is an emotional cure-all for them. Skills and talents - like playing an instrument, learning how to paint, and just generally communicating, can heal them and give them peace. Because the 3d House represents early education, they can be (if there are no malefics impacting the Moon) people who have a very happy time in primary school or grade school. In a way, the playground is what they eternally long for, and they bring the energy of the playground into their adult life: running around, bouncing a ball of a wall, a Pisces Moon can tap into their eternal kid, always ready for the sound of the bell to free them for recess.
Mercury Frequency, Part 1
Since Mercury can never be more than one sign away from the Sun, each Sun sign is resigned, not even destined so much as forced, by necessity, to only be able to have Mercury - the way we talk, communicate, our analytic mind, our intellect, our playful and youthful energy, IN ONLY THREE SIGNS.
Sun in Aries: Can only have Mercury in Pisces, Aries, and Taurus.
Sun in Taurus: Can only have Mercury in Aries, Taurus, and Gemini,
Sun in Gemini: Can only have Mercury in Taurus, Gemini, Cancer
Sun in Cancer: Can only have Mercury in Gemini, Cancer, Leo
Sun in Leo: Can only have Mercury in Cancer, Leo, and Virgo
Sun in Virgo: Can only have Mercury in Leo, Virgo, and Libra
Sun in Libra: Can only have Mercury in Virgo, Libra, or Scorpio
Sun in Scorpio: Can only have Mercury in Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius
Sun in Sagittarius: Can only have Mercury in Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn
Sun in Capricorn: Mercury only in Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius
Sun in Aquairus: Mercury only in Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces
Sun in Pisces: Mercury only in Aquarius, Pisces, Aries.
I think this is important, because we can see the nature of Sun signs, i.e. someone who is an Aries has the planet that rules their nervous system in either Pisces, mutable water, Aries, cardinal fire, or Taurus, fixed earth. Aries people are either abstract emotional thinkers, aggressive and direct communicators, or common sense pragmatists.
This is also, in my opinion, very useful for medical astrology.
And, to finish things, this highlights the importance of divisional or harmonic charts - - - - - - -
A person with the Sun at 1 degree Aries and Mercury at 29 degrees Aries will be an Aries Sun and Sagittarius Mercury in the 9th harmonic or Navamsa chart.
George Lucas - Nessus conjunct Mercury
Nessus represents abuse, generational trauma, but also, the dark, plutonic father. There probably isn't a better representation of that than in the chart of Star Wars director, George Lucas.
Nessus doesn't just represent abuse, but a move towards the underworld, a replacement father. Its orbit moves from the edges of Saturn, and into the orbit of Pluto.
Below is George Lucas' chart.
12th House Syndrome - Scorpio
The 12th house is partly the house of the subconscious, the back of the brain and head that's constantly reacting, analyzing, flooded with images and meaning. Partly, the house of the "astral self," the sign that was rising while our mother was in labor.
The 12th house is the house e occupy when we are in isolation, all by ourselves. The sign in that house is the sign that passed away from the Ascendant before we were born.
Scorpio Rising has a Libra 12th house... This is... WHACK.
The subconscious mind of Scorpio is, in a way, always calculating and weighing things. The backdrop of the Scorpionic self is the Scales, weather the Scales of Justice, or the Scales of the Marketplace. This is why Scorpios are always ready to strike: they can feel when the weight is being shifted from one place to another.
Scorpios INTERNALIZE the aesthetic and communicative need that Libras have. Behind the depth, behind the intense feeling, lies - interpersonal economy. The failed or achieved need to reach Balance.
Scorpio is a reaction to the dynamism of Libra. Fixed water is a reaction to Cardinal air.
Scorpios aren't often credited with being just, but they have a deep need for justice, which often lies unacknowledged - doesn't matter if they are Scorpio Sun, Moon, or Ascendant.
Scorpios have an airy subconscious. A subconsciousness sensitive to shifts and movements, and active within itself. This is why, when you talk to a Scorpio, it feels like you are being weighed and measured. In a way, they can't help it: who has more and who less, which side is up and which down, is a theme that permeates the underground currents of their minds.
The most tragic message of Scorpio is this: justice and equality only exist in solitude, far away from everyone else.
The best message of Scorpio? Justice is the basis of the astral realm, the realm that connects us, SECRETLY, in our dreams, with everyone else.
Moon in Cancer
This is an analysis of Cancer Moon from the perspective of the Moon chart. The meaning will be modified by what place the Moon occupies in the main birth chart.
With Moon in Cancer the Moon rules the 1st house. There's an Aries like quality to people who have this position, being emotionally "self-centered," and expressing those emotions, wearing them on their face.
Because the Moon rules the 1st house (I mean the first house of the Moon chart), it makes these people constantly moody. They would probably say: "Yeah, well, I have things to be moody about." And that would, probably, be true.
They have an emotional honesty about them, and at the same time, they are well aware that they have to defend themselves from other people, even if those other people just don't get why.
With the Moon chart of Cancer Moons, the ruler of the ascendant is exalted in the 11th house: what a Cancer Moon wants, and needs, and what he/she is good at, is being in a group. Being with other people, being part of a network, a friend-group, is what they are good at, and what makes them feel emotionally satiated.
For Cancer Moons, being part of a friend-group means that they can, finally, relax. They can let their guard down, because they've found a place they feel safe.
The Moon is Fallen in the 5th: Cancer Moons want a stable, deep, intense romantic life. Which means that often they come out too strong, they're too intense when dating - they want it to be deep from the beginning. Instead of "just having fun," like a Leo, enjoying being the center of attention, they want to instantly plunge into the other person. It's hard, at moments impossible, for them to "just hook up."
Scorpio in the 5th house also shows how Cancer Moons can often be over-controlling of their children.
It's all fun and games until someone brings Scorpio to the 5th House!

Moon in Libra
Like all airy moons, there is a tendency to intellectualize, and on the other hand to be, in a way, CRACKED. The air dries out the water. It dries out the emotion. Sometimes that means that, if a Libra Moon wants to cry, it almost physically can't.
These people can be tough mother!#?ers. Why? Because Libra is the scales. These people will know how much they are emotionally invested, and how much they give versus receive. Libra is the sign of the Marketplace, of weighing and finding balance. So they FEEL when other people try to manipulate the emotional balance. At a certain point in their life, when they get older, this becomes their superpower: they can sense when someone is pushing their or other peoples buttons.
They are also kind of WILD, just like a marketplace is kind of wild. People yelling and shouting, bartering, waiting for a customer, haggling, doing BUSINESS. Libra moons could have an affinity for that kind of energy, and not only an affinity, a need.
All that being said, this is still the sign of Venus and of aesthetics, so they'll have a developed taste, and try to shy away from emotional crudeness.
Always trying to keep an emotional balance, both in themselves and with others, Libra moons can suffer from micro-depressions: it's taxing how much they are keyed with/to other people, it's taxing to FEEL how many grains of sand on this, rather than that side. They're ultimately emotionally reactive and responsive, for better or worse...
