cailinreilig:
She had heard whispers, rumors in the bar of some weirdo hiding in one of the nearby cemeteries, dragging bodies from their graves and doing gods only knew what. She knew better than to go alone, but without her partner, she had no other choice. It was either investigate or wait for the culprit to take the life of an innocent and the latter of the two choices was unacceptable to her. She usually didn’t go for humans. Murder was taboo, but if it turned out whoever was robbing graves was something else, she’d have to act accordingly anyway. It wasn’t like she couldn’t knock the sucker out and call authorities if they turned out to be a serial killer. Either way, there was a chance she’d get paid, and that was an opportunity she couldn’t pass up. “So, this is what it’s come down to now, has it, Felicia? Haunting cemeteries in New Orleans?” She asked herself under her breath, spinning a dagger around her fingers out of sheer boredom. “You should be looking for Liam and yet here you are. Hiding behind a mausoleum and trying to be inconspicuous.” She knew she stuck out like a sore thumb here. But she wasn’t about to let some cretin get away with doing weird shit to dead bodies. Or living ones. Footfalls nearby caused her to drop to her knees in the shadow of the old marble structure, hoping the dim moonlight only hindered the sight of whoever had decided to join her. —@solcna
the cemeteries scattered around new orleans were one of solana’s considerable safe havens. the scent of something besides a witch peppered the tombstones as she waltz through the dark. quickly picking up the voice as she passed another group of stone faced angels. “ --- i’m not in the mood for hide and seek tonight, so can we get the introductions out of the way ?? ” she spoke to the night air, looking at nothing in particular. her features bored.
ofdecepticn:
a look of amusement passed his features as he looked at her for a moment before finishing his drink. setting the glass down, the male came to a stand as his eyes briefly scanned the crowd before looking at the hybrid once more. taking a step closer the demon slowly tucked a piece of her hair behind sol’s ear before running his thumb across her bottom lip. “like i said,” he began slowly. “i don’t want ANYTHING from you. not a favor. not a request. nothing. so consider your wish granted.” and with that, he released her from his hold and took a step back. “nice chat.” he said in his usual casual yet charismatic tone before turning to walk off.
the hair being moved her ear caused her to flinch, but only for a split second. remaining still as his thumb touched her bottom lip. her eyes searched his as he spoke. knowing well that he felt little and she felt too much. worry flickering across her eyes. the last thing she wanted was for him to leave. “ why do you always do this to me ?? ” she responded, her voice below a whisper. how was she supposed to simply chat with him, if they’d never actually done it ?? she reluctantly stepped after him. jerking on his wrist to turn him back around. “ i --- ” her words fell to the floor along with her eyes. she couldn’t say anything. why did she stop him ?? she released his arm, and inhaled sharply. “ sorry. ” finally turning herself back around, pushing herself out of the bar and out into the streets. her hands rushing to her own face, pressing gently before running them through her hair.
ofdecepticn:
a brisk chuckle filtered through his lips as shrug rolled off the demon’s shoulders, his gaze casually roaming to the party-goers. for a moment his eyes narrowed, not in anger, but rather in amusement. elle n'est jamais contente, he thought. and while he knew WHY it seemed the hybrid has no intentions of letting the past be and the demon had no interest in having a ( change of heart ). it was probably for that same reason that they ended up on this never-ending carousel ride. “ and you want what? for us to talk about our thoughts or childhood?”
if she knew how to be honest with him, she would say that she didn’t want to be talking to him at all. didn’t want to be another source of entertainment for him to pawn off when he’d had his fix. most of all, she was tired. the cycle continued no matter what route she took. he spun his web and she helplessly found her way into it, every time. “ no. what childhood would there be to talk about anyway ?? i don’t want anything lucien. rarely i demand things, but right now i’d prefer you to not act friendly with me and get on with what you do best. ”
fcngedlove:
“ humans? no… we can FEEL it too… ” vague words, complaisant; it leave an air of incomplete — is he musing aloud? ( “can” ) leaves a possibility, a GAP to stick your sticky fingers within & dig for. he’s gone quiet now, almost DOCILE, a small blessing. “ i don’t feel old… do you? the years go by… but i feel… “ thick SILENCE reeks of melancholy, trapped within unspoken words. “ solana. ” he whispers your name like a sin with lips full of want & it’s a BLINK of an eye, lacking ill-intent as skeletal fingers press to thin wrists, pale orbs rest in peace upon the calamity of dark midnight, staring into a VOID feels like home. “ i can’t drag you to HELL… you’re already there. ”
“ can. but it could be most of us choose not to. ” she pushed her thoughts aside as more words tumbled from his mouth. she never felt old but knew she was beyond the term. she raised an eyebrow slowly, “ i’m unsure if you’re insulting me. ”
noellelis:
❝no… no, i just… i did something STUPID and dragged silas into it and now he’s going crazy and i only… WOKE UP because i saw all the blood… the bodies, and it snapped me back.❞ noelle explained, the reins of guilt still holding her down. she felt even more GUILTY that solana now knew. she feared the other’s perception would change.
her innocence was appeasing. the witch couldn’t comfort her as she would if she was more of an emotional being. “ -- at least your back... in my experience, time spent without a soul effects you more than others. ” solana’s hand brushed her shoulder softly and her face tried on a small smile.
rosemariethomson:
Rosemarie had always hated the sight of blood, she had a weak stomach. “Oh.” The word fell from her lips. She became momentarily distracted. The voices she always heard increased in volume. Rosemarie couldn’t make out what they were saying, but she knew it couldn’t be anything good. She shook her head as if to clear the voices away. “I’m Rosemarie. Who are you?”
“ i didn’t ask your name. ” she stood idly for a few moments, examining the girl in front of her. “ i meant, who are you ?? as in, who are you to tell me my outfit doesn’t match ?? ” her voice wasn’t hostile or angry, but bored. “ and i’m whoever you see me to be. ”

arabella wasn’t ENTIRELY sure if the woman was being serious , or not. and she was positive confusion was clear on her face. however , she decided to stay , breaking into a small smile. “ well , i’m sure you’ll find me less than comfortable. ”
“ i can make anything comfortable, trust me. i easily adapt. ”
orlevnna:
& | ’ SHUT UP. ’ the blonde snapped, unsure of who the girl was or why she felt it necessary to speak. anna didn’t care, just wanted this newcomer out of her face. ‘ go somewhere else with your NONSENSE, i’m a bit b u s y at the moment. ’
“ ouch !! ” solana hissed, but fully showed her disinterest to the command. “ nonsense ?? i’m only trying to help feed the hungry. you know, fulfilling my civil duties and all. ”
consector:
“Do you always feel this entitled?” And people called her generation the entitled ones. Annalei raised her brows briefly before crossing her arms and then rolling her eyes. “We’re not going anywhere.” She knew that if she didn’t finish what she came to do then she would feel like she wasted her day, but if it meant not dealing with Solana’s shit, the sinking feeling of counter productiveness wasn’t so bad. “I’m going home.”
“ well aren’t i ?? ” the hybrid smirked, knowing well that standing around just to annoy would grant a reaction. no matter how small. watching intently as annalei gave her what she wanted. “ -- oh c’mon. you had me all excited, i even felt butterflies in my stomach. ” her features pulling into another smile, “ you used to be fun. ”

Magical books weren’t as uncommon as people thought. If a witch tried hard enough, or had enough years to learn a useful spell or two, then it wasn’t difficult to find them. Jenny had picked the latter method and easily broke through a few wards to a room in the back of an old bookstore. She was sure that some witch had put them there to keep others out and that technically she was breaking in, but at the end of it all, nature would reclaim her anyways. ❝I only want this read this book. Once I’m done, I’ll leave it here. I don’t mean any trouble…❞ She said softly but loud enough to the person behind her. She didn’t bother to turn around.
@solcna
the intrusion upon her private things was irritating and the soul she was met with gave her even more of a reason to be angry. jenny’s presence was once something that could fill the time and possibly the various holes placed among her heart. now she was an nothing more than an inconvenience, a nosy one at that. “ huh.. for some strange reason, i can’t seem to recall a time when i gave you permission. ”
Clever girl. You play with fire because you want to be burnt.

“considering the things i’ve SEEN you do, i’m sure you’d figure out another way.” he said casually as a caviler smile tugged at his features. “just because you don’t believe something it doesn’t make it any less true mon chère. though considering how adamant you are about this it almost makes me wonder if you were HOPING for me to ask something of you.”
“ it’s trial and error, i cannot accomplish my goal unless you become a human torch. using someone with the ability to feel something might prove more useful though. ” she ended the topic there as he went on to another, calling her a name in french. his remark soaking into her skin, but solana challenged the possibility. was she hoping for more ?? “ perhaps -- only because we have listless conversations. ”

People loved to float in and out of each other’s lives, but Annalei wasn’t so forgiving of that. She lightly chuckled after she got up from the ground and dusted herself off. “Why do need to know, Solana?” She asked as she looked up. “Was everyone else not entertaining you enough? I can’t imagine why you’d follow someone like me around.”
she frowned irreverently. “ you always have a way to damper spirits -- i’m bored, quite obviously. ” she continued to inch along through the space under the fence as her eyes remained focused on the changing sky. “ now, where are we going ?? ” huffing after pushing herself from the ground and patting at her clothing.
