There is something I’d like to do, but… “No-no, that is all for now.”
“Alright then... I think I’m going to take a look around my room for a bit... I guess I’ll meet up with you again later?”
“There we go! …oh, right. Here.” Transforming into an orb of light, Eryn changed back into the Blazefire Saber for Lightning. She knew that Lightning wasn’t as adept at magic as Hope or Vanille, but at least she knew some to help.
“There. Though my edge isn’t as sharp as normal, I’ll still be able to slice something good enough for both of us. Plus your magic will help too. …and yes, I can talk in this form too, don’t look surprised.”
“Why is it you only now made your presence known to me if that’s the case? I mean... I’ve had you for a long time and you never have shown yourself before now...” She asked, holding Eryn in her hand as the familiar Blazefire Saber she had trained, fought, and survived with.
She spotted an organic monster in the distance and with closer inspection she saw that it was a Lobo. “I hope you know how to cook, I’m not what you would call a top grade chef...”
“H-hey, hey! That’s not how it works, knock it off!”
The girl looked a bit irritated as she was touched like that. Granted it could be worse, but still. “When you oil and sharpen me like normal, it can be considered “food” for me, but if I eat normal human food, it has the same effect.” She explained, looking around for something for the two of them to hunt and eat. “Now enough of the questions! Let’s get something to cook already!”
“Food huh? That’s... I guess that makes sense?” She stated, not fully understanding it.
She sighed and nodded. “F-Fine....” She shook her head and knew that the fairy was certainly looking for something to hunt, but her weapon wasn’t exactly in a usable state and poking her just seemed to irritate her more so she figured the best course of action might just be to rely on her magic for now. “Alright then, let’s go get something then...”
Serah giggled and began drawing on her sleeping sister's face. She drew cat whiskers, a dot on her nose, and then put a cat ears headband on her. "Hey sis! Wake up!" (I COULDNT STOP HER)
The pinkette yawned and cuddled her blankets closely to herself as she looked up at Serah. “Mmmmm…. Good morning Serah~” She responded with a slight stretch and gentle smile. “I didn’t know you were coming over this early today…”
“I know but I thought it would be good to come by early, I had nothing else to do.” Everytime she looked at her sister she couldn’t stop a giggle from coming out.
She sighed and nodded. “I just wish I had known so I could get ready Serah…. I-I feel like a big huge mess right now…” She looked up at her and blinked. “What’s so funny?”
“Whatever you wish to do; training, making friends…”
She rest her head in her hand as she thought for a moment. “I see… alright then, thanks for letting me know…. is… there anything I still need to do in order to pass through my initiation or does this conclude the briefing?”
“Largely keeping the peace between humans and omnics, escorting important deliveries, et cetera. There is plenty of combat that does occur, but it in itself happens rarely.”
“And when I’m not out fighting? What exactly do you plan for me to do when we’re not fighting then?”
Serah giggled more as she watched her sister wake up. “Hello sleeping beauty. I got here a couple of minutes ago and noticed you were still asleep.”
“W-Well I had the day off... a-and I wasn’t expecting you to show up for a good hour....”
“And in case you were wondering, there is no rule against fraternization…” Not that Angela was thinking about that, not at all.
“R-Right.....” She responded with a slight nod. “What are my duties going to be? I’m a soldier after all so I assume I’ll be fighting on the front lines, or is there another reason I was recruited into Overwatch?”
“Mmmmm.... Good morning Serah~” She responded with a slight stretch and gentle smile. “I didn’t know you were coming over this early today...”
“We all do, in fact.” She smiled and led the way out of the armory.
“That’s actually pretty nice.... I wasn’t expecting to have my own place to rest and enjoy time in...”
Mercy chuckled softly. “Alright then. Perhaps I should show the accommodation. More specifically, your room.”
She blinked upon hearing that. “My.... room? I get my very own room Angela?”
She smiled broadly. “Well, have you seen everything you wanted to here?”
“I believe so, the facility seems to be quite well established.”
“I’m not really one for formalities. Please, go right ahead.”
“Very well Angela, if that’s truly how you feel then.”
“Oh, please, Lightning.” She smiled and chuckled quietly. “I’m not your superior in any way, really. Feel free to simply call me Angela…and make idle comments, et cetera.”
“Is that really alright? I mean from what it sounds like you’ve been running my entire orientation here so I got the idea that you’d be my superior so I’d rather not seem like I’m disrespecting you or anyone else without the the correct formalities...
Angela smiled and pointed out the room. “Here we are…” She paused for a moment. “I’m surprised you haven’t commented on my attire. The others have.”
She nodded lightly as she paused and brought up her attire, something that had indeed been on her mind this whole time. “With my absloute respect Dr. Ziegler... I thought it was quite strange that you were wearing something so casual, yet I found it would be out of place for me to speak or question the outfit decisions of my superiors, so I remained quiet.”
“To begin with? Mostly Winston, myself and Lieutenant Morrison.”
“Interesting... I’ll be looking forward to meeting them when the time comes.” She said with a mildly interested tone as she reached the armory with the Doctor.
Angela smiled and removed her white lab coat, revealing a very cute black dress before she opened the door and held it open for Lightning.
She blinked a moment as the blonde Doctor slipped off her lab coat into her black dress. “T-Thanks...” She went through the door and waited for Mercy to lead the way again after allowing her through the door.
“So.... what will I be doing here? Who will I be working with?”
