I grew up heavily religious, so by default a lot of things were deeply ingrained in my subconscious from a very early age. Later on in life these things amounted in strange actions with even stranger reasoning.

I was taught/always thought that kissing, sex etc. between a man and a woman before marriage was against God's will. In movies, shows and media, whenever I saw these things happen I thought God was going to smite me for being complacent in people actively going against his word.

Obviously during puberty certain new things become of interest to adolescents such as kissing, relationships and sometimes sex. So to get around this fear of God and to give in to my natural curiosities of love and sensuality, I thought I had found a loophole. Essentially, I wanted to know what the big deal was about kissing, so instead of watching a man and a woman kiss, because I would be complicit with whatever mad blasphemy my weird little brain created, I thought it didn't count if I watched two women kiss.

This is me being wholeheartedly honest, this was something I genuinely believed was a loophole, because I genuinely thought I was going to get smited.

Turns out I just like women.
