and to give context my drinking has only been at home, supervised by my parents. I’ve never gone to a party and drank and went completely out of control. It’s always been safe. So I believe that’s what she meant when she said that. Good, safe environment to introduce someone to something.

I’m not your parents, I’m not you. My own moral code prohibits me from giving alcohol to minors no matter what their age. So I come at it from that angle. I’m not going to damn you or condemn you for it but I am not going to voice my displeasure either.

What I do want to bring up though is that thinking if you start something younger you become more responsible because of it really does not work.

I’ve met people who started out on firearms as kids who are much less responsible with them than people who just started this last year.

I didn’t drink until I was 20, both my older and younger brother drank in their teens tho. I’m taller than them both even tho I was the smallest until late teens.

As soon as I turned 18 my parents started peer pressuring me into drinking (to which I gladly accepted) even though the drinking age is 21 (we’re hispanic so we don’t give two shits). Literally it’s not a big deal guys come on.
