I'm mot sure which imagery I want her surrounded by: snowbunny or hypothermia. She's an offshoot of a Harpy sub-species, having been pushed into the barren mountaintops for safety. I'm not sure which sort she is though: the sort to spot you and help you find shelter, or the type to lead you further into the storm with the promise of safety until you collapse into the snow. I do know for sure though, that on a stormy day she and her kind see exclusively through the third eye, as it cuts through the blizzard like butter. Which is why she hasn't died having at best 10-20 vision in her dominant eyes. I imagine you can tell I'm obsessed with the third eye aesthetic. And I love the idea of limited/poor vision paired with the third eye. I wish Goatlings had more third eye wearables~ Their HAs let me do some design without drawing and I have so little time right now xD

I dunno how to gel about what I want for hair.. I like the idea of a monstress who makes potions or the like in an apron, like her big flowy-badguycloak is expensive and dammit she's not going to stain it (again). I'm also super into the idea of facial markings that make your eyes always seem open, sort of like the designs on a moths wings, a defense tactic. Monstresses are bae.

Hmmm, i want a little, like, she-demon / ram-satyr-type creature... I think I wanna design a species . I DON'T HAVE THAT TIME FOR THIS SHIZ. Primary design thoughts- as per usual- inspired by Goatlings HAs. //brainstorm// ::constantly seen with a patch or the like over her left eye, often catches hell from others of her type because their pride and socially their "value" comes from how well they can use their psychic field of vision:: ::wears a large golden bell around her throat, the soft jangling tones punctuate her movements:: ::the sort to cut off sleeves and pants because it's too hot and she has no clean shorts/ tees:: ::sharp, long canines, cyber bites piercings::

i used to think that a foot of parchment was a lot and feel bad when harry potter characters were assigned to write that much

but then i realized the paper i write on is 8.5 by 11 inches.

so a foot of parchment is the equivalent of like, a page and a half of paper.

it’s honestly not even a foot and a half it’s just one sheet of paper. a foot is 12 inches. like dang if i had to only write one page long essays in school about cool magic shit then i would have been ecstatic.

also 12pt times new roman— the standard assigned size and font for a lot of essay assignments— produces significantly smaller text than a muggleborn teenageer with a pen and ink quill would be able to manage on the regular, no matter how dedicated she was. ron and harry are frequently noted to be using large handwriting on unlined paper. their homework would have been about three short paragraphs if they were feeling studious.

no wonder hermione was so fucking exasperated! muggle students their age would have strangled them.
