reread some of my usagi yojimbo collection this morning. stan sakai is very adept at a lot of things but what especially stands out to me now is that man, can that guy move characters across a page. the staging, kinetics, and timing of his panels are so fucking careful and strategic. genuinely don't know of anybody off the top of my dome who is as good at clarity of scene or action as he is.

Please don't let the fact that the collection starts off with an immediate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover throw you off lol; it's hard to imagine better summer afternoon comics reading than some of the stuff in here.

-middle sister is visiting from overseas (awesome)

-briefly had the worst neurochemical environment in my brain i can remember having in like the past five years at least but we're ok now
