{‡}; The damp and cold January breeze caused a CHILL to shiver along Poe’s spine as he knelt at the grave bearing the name of his love.

It had felt like an eternity since she had been taken from him. There was a silence that hung heavy in the cemetery as he knelt there, as if he was with her once more. He did not hear the steps approaching, but rose from his kneeling position and attempted to dust the dirt from the legs of his trousers.

Would that you were still about to deliver some words of sense to your countrymen. Then again, there are plenty of clever satirists currently in living circulation and no one listened to them. Truly, my only regret in the face of nuclear Armageddon is that no one will be alive to remember your stories.

I have learned that it is futile to speak to fools because if they are set in their ways, they most certainly will not listen if your view is different from theirs, and they will consider THEMSELVES intelligent and you foolish for not seeing the way that they do.
