Final ortho appointment after passing my hip re-test. He told me it's been nearly a year since my first visit with him. I thanked him for cutting into my hip without blogging about what he might've seen during the process 😏. We shook hands. A few things going on right now: 1: I'm in my second Whole Life Challenge, which started Jan. 21 and ends March 17. It's basically two months of no fun at all and exercising in some form every day. @cberka2 is doing it, too, so it's nice to have support. Last time I did it, I lost about 25lbs while getting stronger. We'll see. 2: I'm working out as much as I can while still recovering from hip surgery back in August. Still can't run, but I can bike like the wind blows (Gump reference doesn't work here). Orangetheory and an old school powerlifting gym that's $200/year. I'm regularly having my ass handed to me, and it's exactly what I need. 3: I saw a blog post recently about a 10,000 kettlebell swing challenge with a 55lb kettlebell. The freaks who did it achieved the feat in 10 days. With everything else going on and PT, I'm aiming to finish by March 17. Funny enough, I'm at 500 since January 21, and that puts me behind the pace I need to maintain. So it goes. 4: This is all to jumpstart my fitness enough to put myself in a position to participate in the combine this year, after not being able to train for the last eight months. Oh, and to get less plump. Let's go. #mattkellyusa
