I honestly hate that they keep trying to shove a woman at Cas every time. Like. "He’s bisexual!!!!" …except I’m not even sure he’s supposed to be any kind of "-sexual". The whole point was always the emotional connection with Dean

But it’s a massive show, a massive show that’s hyper-fixated on sex and porn, and in a massive show a relatively "male" character can’t possibly just… exist alone. He has to have some sexual experience with a woman, even if it directly contradicts who he is at the core. Cas isn’t even human - rating people’s hotness is not in his starter pack, nor is wanting to make out or hook up. And it sucks that his becoming a "pseudo-human" always, inevitably, gets boiled down to sex

So in my head, none of that ever happened. With Dean it’s more like walking a knife’s edge, and Cas himself has ENDLESS potential for actual introspection - religious, philosophical, exploring human behavior patterns - literally anything besides "so which woman am I kissing this week" sigh

It’s not even about Destiel, per se. I’d be way more interested in seeing the problem of a cosmic being forming its first emotional bond, and how that bond destructively clashes with all its beliefs

A cosmic being feeling loneliness for the first time. Wanting, for the first time, to be connected to something beyond soldier-routine. An immortal encountering a mortal, and for the first time, feeling longing - wanting to keep this tiny little bug alive for as long as possible...
