There is no pillow so soft as a clear conscience.
French Proverb
You must trust and believe in people or life becomes impossible.
Anton Chekhov
What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
If I had listened to the critics I'd have died drunk in the gutter.
Anton Chekhov
You can't avoid change, it's mandatory, progress however is optional.
Bill R. Good, Jr.
For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.
Mark Twain
Anger is a wind which blows out the lamp of the mind.
Robert Green Ingersoll
An angry man opens his mouth and shuts his eyes.
Cato
Do not betray the one who betrays you.
Love for other people what you love for yourself.
Prophet Muhammed
Islam teaches tolerance, not hatred; universal brotherhood, not enmity; peace, and not violence.
Pervez Musharraf (via somequotesandshit)
Islam is not only a religion, but a way of life. And at its heart lie the sacred principles of tolerance and dialogue.
King Hussein I
As the first day of Ramadan, I thought I'd posts some quotes reflecting the nature of Islam. Remember, Islam is/was a peaceful religion. A friend told me yesterday that one of the reason they fast is because it allows you to feel the pain and hungry those who are impoverished feel. She said it often causes them to give more because they remember/understand an amount of what these people go through. So, the time spent saying that it's silly to fast or making fun of how you and your friends couldn't do it could be better spent understanding why it's done and the benefits.
Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.
Mother Teresa
Ours is a world where people don't know what they want and are willing to go through hell to get it.
Don Marquis
